Eclectic Eccentricity ~ Fly Me To The Moon!

I ventured to the Clothes Show in Birmingham last weekend in search of gorgeous finds for you all and amongst a rather large amount of disappointing stands, one star shone out rather brightly.

I felt like I had stumbled upon a pot of gold, and you will too when you see these gorgeous designs from Eclectic Eccentricity

They have recently launched their first ever Bridal range, and this gorgeous piece above, called 'Fly me to the Moon' (£35) seems to set the standard. A single brass Swallow flies by the light of the moon – a large pearl disc which flashes all the colours of the rainbow when it catches the light.

The 'The Cecilia' (£20) earrings are equally as stunning. Old brass leaves swing from elegant ivory glass pearls. Just perfect for a classic bride looking for a vintage twist.

If your other half does not whisk you off to Paris for a proposal, then this gorgeous Paris themed necklace (£26) could make up for it. Adorned with a silver Eiffel tower, a single ivory rose and a glass pearl, this is simply elegant and oh so romantic.

And if you want a necklace to completely fall in love with, this may be the one. 'For Your Eyes Only' Envelope Locket Necklace (£14.50) contains a little note; open it to discover the sender's secret. What could be more romantic? There is even room for an extra little memento to keep alongside your letter. I am now yearning for the days of letters waited upon for weeks delivered finally on horseback. Oh, Mr Darcy…

Any partner could score serious brownie points sending this to his bride to be.

The company is the brain child of Lucy Averill who has a passion for all things unique but with a quirky and fun edge. She sources her materials from all over the world and so no pieces are entirely the same and each collection is run in limited numbers.

All items, which are priced around £15 on average, can be ordered online, or you can find a helpful list of stockists here.

Aside from the bridal range, there is so much to choose from if you just want to treat yourself or someone you love. Just look at some of these gorgeous pieces… this is 'The Love Spinner'. Made from old tooling of the 1950's and with a single red rose adorning it. Does he love you? There's only one way to find out, spin it and see…

The 'Twittering Vintage Heart Necklace' is enough to make any girl go weak at the knees. Two love birds swoop in for a kiss and meet at a vintage floral heart. It is so pretty and so deeply romantic, sigh.

Unrequited love is summed up in the wonderful piece 'Why did she have to be the Captain's daughter'. even the title sounds like a line from one of the world's most soppy books. This necklace really tells a story; a young girl cameo sits between a heart and a sword. Her love, perhaps never be to told…

It's enough to melt even the frostiest of hearts..

My favourite piece of all is aptly entitled 'Who bides her time' (£48.50). It's a vintage style pocket watch complete with a brass leaf and a pure white vintage rose. The back is covered by a glass sphere so you can glance at the inner workings and literally watch the seconds slipping by. Inspired by the poem ' Who bides his time' by James Whitcomb Riley, the piece serves as a reminder to treasure every second.

I've vowed to my husband if he buys me this, I promise NEVER to be late ever again!
