A Midsummer Night’s Dream Wedding…

This completely divine real vintage style wedding feature is all thanks to my lovely friend Bonzie,
who just so happened to design a piece of the Brides's wedding day
attire (more on that soon) and also just so happened to fall in love
with these photographs as much as I did when I first saw them.

This
is Bride Heather and she married her Husband Greg in September 2009 at
a beautiful ceremony held at her parent's house in Bend, Oregon, USA.  I have to admit folks, preparing this feature definitely made me feel a little teary; this wedding is just so beautiful and I hope it inspires you in some way ~ be
it the Bride's beautiful style, the decor, the use of the outdoors as a
place to celebrate – there are so many things to fill your mind with fabulously
creative ideas for your OWN wedding.

"We
were inspired by the 1930's Hollywood Production of Midsummer Night's
Dream and the Western Frontier, Cowboy style of early Oregon.  We met
in Oregon originally, and having the wedding there seemed poetic.  We
both like an eclectic, vintage, rustic look, and we also wanted items
that would be re-used as much as possible…"

Shoes, beautiful shoes…

 Heather loved the ruffles
and vintage feel of her gorgeous wedding gown ~ 'Marina', by Michelle
Roth, and those fantastic shoes (I love love LOVE!) below were by Irregular Choice.

Heather's
birdcage and hair piece were both Etsy finds; her veil was purchased
from Powder Blue Bijoux and the hairpiece from Victoria Velvet

"My Pearl necklace was given to me by my father, who went out and
bought it before my wedding and surprised all of us!  The blue fire
opal was dug in the desert by grandpa and he had it set."

What a beautiful Bolero jacket, it so compliments Heather's bridal style.  The jacket was by Bonzie…

Ladies in red…

The Bridesmaids were dressed by Next Eve and their shoes were from Payless.

Bridesmaids Hair Accessories were real orchids and orange fabric flowers made by Heather's friend Ivy and their pretty pearl earrings were another Etsy find from Crush Jewels.

"We
used Leaf and Petal in Bend for the bouquets and boutonnieres because we wanted a
vintage artistic look.  The
rest of the flowers we did ourself and ordered bulk flowers from
American Floral Distributors Wedding Flowers of America."

Here comes the Groom…

Greg's jacket was from online store Western Emporium and his trousers were from Macy's and his shirt was from an EBay store.  Greg's Boots were by Bronx and his tie was from Cattle Kate.

"They
had a large collection of vintage rings, and it is a small, intimate.
They let us pay off the ring as were able, and even brought us a bottle
of champagne when we came in to make the final payment"…

decor with the help of friends and family.  Glass jars were from a garage
sale, votives from a thrift store, paper lanterns from a thrift store
and Pier1."
