Queens & Bowl Vintage Inspired Wedding Accessories Boutique ~ New Sponsor Welcome

I am thrilled and delighted this week to be welcoming a number of new sponsors on board, the first of which is the lovely Queens and Bowl – an online wedding accessories boutique, which, if you've not heard of before now, you simply must go check out.

Kate from Queens and Bowl contacted me last week to tell me all about her website and why she established her virtual boutique of vintage inspired gorgeousness…

"The website is the vision of me, Kate Bowl, and the urge to set up an online boutique came from the fact that I found it so hard to find accessories for my own wedding in January 2009. I wanted a glamorous, vintage twist and found it really hard to find unusual, quality accessories whilst working full-time.

Wedding magazines are great for inspiration but they’re SO expensive and when planning a wedding every penny counts – I scoured the internet most lunchtimes at work and every evening, but every time it just seemed to throw up either cheap suppliers who sourced from the far-east, or really badly designed sites that I had no trust in which to spend my money. Wedding Bloggers were few and far between in 2007/8!   I tried phoning dress shops or just calling in, but the staff just weren’t interested unless I was looking at dresses. In the end most of my accessories came from US sites.  So I vowed to set up a beautiful, calm, serene website that specialised in quality, vintage-inspired shoes and accessories…."

"I wanted the site to be a pleasure to shop, with clear photography and a simple, secure checkout process to give brides confidence to shop. I also wanted to provide some inspiration to brides who weren’t quite sure what look to go for. And that’s what has now happened!"

Wedding shoes a-plenty in an array of beautiful styles to suit most Brides are available at Queens and Bowl...

"At Queens & Bowl, we think that although the dress may get centre stage when it comes to planning your wedding, when the day actually arrives it’s the little details and accessories that make or break a spectacular bridal outfit. We’re passionate about the finishing touches – the treasures that you’ll actually be able to wear again after ‘The Big Day’.  We’re also passionate about style – and we mean real, old-school style. Not trends, not crazes: Serious. Style. The sort that originated in the likes of 1930s Hollywood, or the French Riviera in the ‘50s.  In our Inspiration section you’ll find a bit of commentary on each vintage era, with inspirational images and how you can pull the look together with items from my range. I will be adding more eras soon."

"Unfortunately style doesn’t grow on trees and you have to search for it. So we have. We’ve put together a collection of the best designers who’ve been inspired by the timeless elegance of the 1920s through to the 1950s to create beautiful vintage styled jewellery, shoes and accessories.  Queens & Bowl currently stocks specially selected collections by Stephanie Browne, Halo & Co, Ivory & Co, Rachel Simpson, Sasso and Filippa Scott and I’m looking at expanding into more brands."
