Morning all 🙂 I hope you had a super lovely weekend with plenty of sun and relaxation. I thought I’d open up this week with a beautiful multi-cultural wedding – and a Bride who clearly loves the vintage style (and I LOVE her maribou cape!).
Naomi and Hanif”s wedding took place on 9 July this year on a gloriously sunny afternoon at Upwaltham Barns in Chichester – described as ‘one of the prettiest wedding barn venues in West Sussex’.
Photographer Lisa Devlin managed to capture all of the images below in only 2 hours. Amazing! And testament indeed to Lisa’s photographic skill and talent.
“Naomi only got in touch the week before her wedding as they only decided to book a photographer at the last minute. They were planning to rely on friend’s pictures and ask people to take shots on their Diana camera. Naomi told me that despite having 170 guests, they didn’t want it to be a big production and just wanted me to capture the atmosphere and get some decent portraits of the two of them.
Naomi’s vintage inspired dress was designed and made by her friend Liz Manso and it looked gorgeous with her marabou cape and simple daisies in her hair. In total I was only there for two hours but loved everything about this wedding and hope that they are happy that they changed their mind about booking a photographer…”

“When I arrived at Upwaltham Barns in Sussex, I didn’t really know
much about them or the wedding but I do love this pretty rural venue.
After the civil ceremony, Hanif and Naomi led their guests out into the
courtyard where Les Musettes were playing in the sunshine.
This was a
wedding that involved the friends and family – instead of formal
bridesmaids, Naomi had her ‘Wedding Collective’ who did jobs from
arranging the pretty meadow flowers to moving chairs between barns.”
