I love receiving images from Photographers new to Love My Dress, especially when they are as lovely and enthusiastic as Joanna Brown :) I loved this particular suite of photographs because of the styling and colouring and I thought the couple looked fab! I was intrigued to know more about them. Joanne explained...
"Anna is a primary school teacher with a twist! She owns over 200 dresses, I have never seen so many shoes and accessories and she has a room dedicated to her dresses; they are mostly vintage and retro and she is one lady with an eye for fashion. Rakesh is a chemist and also has more suits than the average man, he is the epitome of cool and very laid back; together they ooze style.
Anna & Rakesh fell in love and now live on a windy hilltop in Brighton by the Seaside, they have views stretching out to the sea and the southdowns, I went to their flat to meet them as the view was one thing, however their style was something else. I knew straight away that this couple would be up for an adventurous pre-wedding shoot and boy did we have one. We packed the car full of dresses, suits, ties, radios, wicker baskets and ourselves and headed on out of the city to capture something alternative to the typical 'Brighton shots', we drove up over the downs and found some lovely spots on the way featuring giant leaves and meadows.
Our final destination was an overgrown greenhouse which I had always wanted to shoot in. Rakesh & Anna could not wait to get into the derelict building, they were totally up for it and dived right in! It was touch and go at times but boy I think its worth pushing yourself that extra bit to take a risk and get those one in a million shots."

It's refreshing to see a set of more experimental and stylish images that truly stand-out. And a lady of 200 dresses is certainly a woman after my own heart!
Well done Joanna! Fabulous job - and congratulations too, to Anna and Rakesh - this is one wedding I'm most certainly watching out for! ;)
Much love,
Annabel xXx

I love the whole retro style, absolutely fab images! Where in the Lord does someone store 200 dresses however? I want that storage space and those dresses! xx

A seriously handsome couple! I'm a big fan of Max Wanger for his quirky framing so I love that about these photographs. Joanna, it's like you are kind of eaves dropping on them so it comes across very romantic, love it! And also loving the multi outfit changes, a girl after my own heart!

These pics are stunning. I love the colours, choice of settings and the sense of fun. Yes, a handsome couple and also very touching photographs that I am sure Anna and Rakesh will treasure.
