Its Friday! It's the Bank Holiday! Time for some pretty photographs to celebrate :)
I absolutely love this set of wedding photos - they tell the story of a beautiful, relaxed, outdoor and rural style wedding celebration between a couple clearly very much in love with each other - the chemistry between these two that jumps out from the photographs is almost palpable!
Deb and Dan got married on 10 July 2010. Dan is a musician, and inspired by the Summer Festival scene, the couple chose the fabulous Brick House Farm in High Halden, Kent as their venue; "Glastonbury
festival was our inspiration. We wanted a laid back feel, good music
and somewhere we could sit around a camp fire late into the night. We
also wanted to camp with our friends. The venue had everything we were looking for - a huge farm with
lakes, tipis to sleep in, a beautiful barn, vintage style with bunting
and mis-matched china etc..."
These lovely images were captured by London and surrounding Counties Wedding Photographer and Wedding PHoto Journalist, Mark Carey; "We found Mark locally and loved his style. After a trip to Hastings for a pre-wedding portrait shoot we were confident we'd found a fantastic photographer for our wedding day. THe photos really capture the feel of the wedding."

Deb wore a beautiful Jenny Packham dress called 'Petra'...
"I love all Jenny Packham dresses so it was inevitable I would have one for my wedding day. I tried on all the Jenny Packham dresses in the shop and nearly missed this one until the shop assistant gave it to me as I'd dismissed it on the rail as not a flattering shape! I loved the detailed beading which gave it a very vintage style look in keeping with the wedding..."
"My shoes were Marks & Spencer wedges! After splashing all my budget on the dress I was so excited to find a perfect pair of wedges for the farm for the bargain price of £20..."
Deb wore a pretty orchid flower in her hair...
Dan is a musician and had recently written a piece of music that I loved so we asked a friend to play it on the keyboard as I walked down the aisle...
Forgotten Flowers!
"Halfway through the ceremony I realised I'd forgotten my bouquet! Standing on the veranda of the shack overlooking the lake and farm I could see all of our friends and family gathered for the wedding and it was a wonderful feeling to see them all waiting for me. My dad shed a tear and we had a glass of prosecco before walking across the farm to the ceremony barn."
Flowers Found...
"My sister bought the flowers from a wholesalers and created the table centres and my bouquet herself. We went for a wild country theme to suit the farm - peonies, sweet peas, thistles, pots of lavender and herbs . We used lavender from my grans garden for the place names.
Festival Style Decor...Deb and Dan used a selection of bunting, straw bales, jars of lemon sherbets and fruit to decorate their beautiful wedding venue...
"We put up framed pictures of our parents and grandparents on their wedding day and heart wire frames with pics of ourselves growing up. The venue had dressed the ceremony barn with dried hops which looked great..."
Delicious!...
"Brick House farm produced the food for the main meal - 4 huge bbq'd ribs of beef! For the evening food Dan's mum supplied a ham, gran made a cake and I made cupcakes..."
Strawberry & Lemon Tart Please...
"We didn't have cake and instead opted for a summery desert, strawberries and lemon tart..."
Musician Dan couldn't leave his guitar alone even on his wedding day :) ....
Skalectrix Ska...
Deb and Dan hired a great Ska band called Skalectrix to entertain guests in the evening - sure looks like everyone had a lot of fun! :)
Words of Wisdom...
"Get your friends and family involved - my sister, mum, gran, mother in law, aunties and friends all made things for the wedding which made the day so much more special to us and their help in bringing it all together was invaluable."
Oh what an absolutely gorgeous wedding, makes my heart sing!
Congratulations to Deb and Dan - and thank you so very much to Mark Carey for providing these uplifting photographs :)
Much Friday love all,
Annabel xXx
