A Vintage Style English Country Garden Wedding…

Morning! :)  Time to kick start this short and sweet working week with a bang, and one beautiful vintage style wedding.  Nina & Patrick got married on 1st August this year, at Archbishop's Palace in Maidstone, Kent.  The couple's entire wedding was planned from Germany, with the help of one very special lady…

"Having
Josie Hendrick of Savoir Weddings as our wedding planner was the best thing that could have
happened to us! As we were planning our wedding from Germany we didn't
really know where to start, not knowing any suppliers in the UK and not
being able to meet any of them in person. After our first meeting with
Josie, it was clear that she understood exactly what kind of wedding we
had in mind and we instantly knew that we had found the right person.

Josie organised everything for us without leaving us with the feeling that
we weren't involved. She had some great ideas on how to save money and
helped us remain well in budget! On the actual wedding day she made sure
everything ran smoothly and also did a brilliant job with the visual
concept and decorations. Looking back it's hard to imagine how we would
have done it without her!"

As always, I am thrilled to have the honour of featuring the work of Brighton and Sussex Wedding Photographer, Lisa Devlin; "Working with Lisa was a wonderful experience. I don't usually like being photographed, but
Lisa really knew how to make me feel comfortable in front of the camera.
She had a lot of great ideas and brought some nice vintage props along
as well. It was her idea to stop at the poppy field and those
photographs are our favourites now! She was also great with our wedding
guests and most of the time we didn't even notice she was there…"

What wonderful testimony to two very talented ladies. I hope you enjoy browsing through the result of all their hard work as much as I have – because the details on this one are fabulous! :)  …

It doesn't matter if it rains…

Nina told me…

"On
the morning of the wedding I was absolutely devastated when I woke up
to torrential rain. It was that bad, that when my Maid-of-Honour
arrived, I even told her that I would run away to London and that they
should go ahead with the party anyway as everything was already in
place. But as I put my dress on and had my hair & make up done, I
felt confident that not even the rain could spoil the day. However, as
soon as we set off for the ceremony, the sun came out and in the
afternoon we even had a rainbow:) It was the most perfect day!"

Nina's gorgeous dress was by 'Nachtigall und Lerche' of Hamburg…

"I was actually looking for something completely different, but when my maid of
honour made me try this one on, I instantly fell in love with it…"

Nina wore the 'Angel of beauty' hair clip by Glitzy Secrets and held a silver satin clutch bag by Accessorize.  Her other main accessory was a vintage 1930's silver necklace.

I love Nina's up-do, which pays a subtle nod to the 1930's, and was styled by Jo Clayton

I'm also loving the choice of fuchsia pink that Nina's Bridesmaid wore…

The quite stunning florals were by London and Sussex based Florists, Pollen Nation
