I cannot tell you how delighted I am today to be featuring the work of my dear friend, Leeds Wedding and Lifestyle Photographer, Cat Hepple. Those of you that have followed the Love My Dress Wedding Blog from the beginning will know that Cat has been involved with this blog right from the off; I met Cat through one of the online wedding planning forums and Cat's beautiful 08.08.08 wedding inspired me hugely in planning my own big day.
Over the past 12 months, I have witnessed Cat leave her long-term job as National BBC TV News correspondent (where she regularly graced our TV sets, reporting for the 6 o'clock news) and establish her own Leeds based Wedding and Lifestyle Photography Brand, as well as becoming a first time Mum! I've nothing but huge admiration for this talented and incredibly hard working lady who is so very passionate about her Photography.
Last month, Cat had the great pleasure of working with some of the UK Wedding industry's best on a vintage bridal fashion inspired photoshoot, which took place at Denton Hall in West Yorkshire – an exquisite 18th Century Georgian Country House – and very elegant wedding venue…
"This was a shoot set up in collaboration with Hayley Hoyle from The Harrogate Wedding Lounge. I had been looking for a wedding dress supplier dedicated to the highest standards, to recommend to my Brides. I met Hayley, heard about her business and knew she was perfect.
"We discussed creating a vintage styled shoot, to show off some of her new collections and to show Brides how this hugely popular theme can easily be achieved; the shoot was vintage through and through, some images show just a nod towards styles of old, but all have a feel of a by gone age in one way or another. I also wanted to show Brides that even on a cold, rather grey day you can still create some stunning wedding imagery, which has flair and style…"

"We used models for this shoot, purely to ensure Hayley had images she can use commercially, but I really worked hard to make sure none of the images required specialised posing or expert modelling skills-it was vital that these looks could be recreated with a Bride on her wedding day. Again, I worked quickly to show these styles can be done in the short time span of a wedding day.
I always ask my bride and grooms for two lots of around 20 minutes during the wedding day, to ensure we get some fabulous images of them. So I had that in mind as I shot this. It had to be do-able on a wedding day.
Again, there is a fashion feel to this shoot, very much my style and trend. Brides seem to love it…"

Now I would have killed and died for images like this to add to my scrap-book when I was planning my own wedding! WOW! I hope you love them as much as I do 😉
