Yarwood White Wedding Jewellery ~ Advice from the Experts…

Clare Yarwood-White is the designer and owner of Yarwood-White, wedding jewellery specialists

"We design for confident, modern women who have a strong sense of personal style and want an individual approach to accessorizing their wedding dress.  They want to look and feel special, but still be recognizable as themselves; just a more polished, glamorous version.

We have a wide range of designs within our collections but they are designed with popular dresses and styles in mind.  For example, our delicate vintage style jewellery works beautifully with the slim fitting, lace dresses that are so fashionable at the moment, and our bolder, diamante designs are fabulous with glamorous, red-carpet style gowns…"

I spoke with Clare recently and asked her about her gorgeous brand of designer wedding jewellery…

What inspires you when designing?…
"My main inspiration is the women I design for.  Everything flows from a love of the female, and a celebration of feeling beautiful.  I don’t design to shock or make a statement; I want the woman to ultimately feel feminine and beautiful, so she will shine brighter than the jewellery…"

What materials do you use?…
"Most of our designs feature pearls. We use freshwater pearls in organic and natural designs, and Swarovski crystal pearls when a more consistent colour and shape is needed. Pearls are eternally popular for weddings because they are so flattering, they reflect light and create a glowing complexion. Fashions change, but the desire to be beautiful never wanes…"

Can you provide a price guide?…
"Typically our earrings range from around £35-£100, necklaces from £60-£200, Headdresses from £95-£250"

What do you love about what you do?…
What you wear on your wedding day matters more than any other single day of your life.  I am thrilled to be part of that.  My job is creative and happy. Every bride and every day is different, so it never gets boring.

What is the best piece of advice you could give to Brides looking for the ideal/perfect accessories to enhance their wedding day look?…
"Use the experts!  For best results there is no substitute for talking about your wedding and your style to an experienced bridal retailer or jewellery designer.  We all have to make compromises on our wedding day, but don’t compromise on what you look like, because the photos will last a lifetime…"
