Hi Everyone :) Well the snow finally landed in Newcastle/Gateshead in the North East of England last night. It looked utterly beautiful, falling silently around midnight.
This will be the last Sunday post this year. Over the next week, I will be posting the usual content up to Friday 24th December, when I will post the last blog feature of 2010. I then plan on taking a small break from daily blog posts, to spend precious time with family over Christmas. I'll be back in full blogging mode on Monday 3rd January 🙂 So today, I wanted to post something visually very beautiful to inspire you all, and I couldn't think of anything more perfect than this mesmerising set of images from Russian Fine Art Wedding and Portrait Photographer, Anna Radchenko.
Anna Radchenko is a Moscow based wedding and and portrait photographer who also regularly spends time in the UK and is now taking on UK based wedding photography commissions. Anna collaborated recently with Dress Designer Joanne Fleming, the outcome of which are the photographs below, which showcase some of Joanne's exquisite designs – the other photographs included in this feature showcase Anna's sublime fine art wedding and portrait photography.
I got the opportunity to catch up with Anna recently and found out how this talented Russian Photographer is excited about taking on UK Wedding Photography and portrait commissions…
"I'm not a 'traditional' wedding photographer, which means I don't make a lot of classic 'sweet' pictures, however I do think that it's important for a couple to have some nice romantic portraits, pictures with relatives, etc – of course it's an important part of the shoot! But the thing I concentrate on is an art series. My clients are people, who want to make a piece of art from their wedding shoot; my aim is to make their parents, friends and fmaily speachless while looking through the photobook and then cry something like "Oh my God!! I've NEVER seen something like this before!!"

"When couples interested in my photography approach me, I work closely with them on discovering what is meaningful to them; from symbols, stories, movies, books, songs and places, etc. On this basis, I create a concept, then we choose unique locations, it may be a roof, an abandoned building, a meadow, or even places in other cities or countries.
I now have a great database of very interesting "offbeat" locations within Russia, but starting from year 2010 I began shooting worlwide. I spent four months in UK, and started collecting locations everywhere. I really think that places play a huge role in the final result, so this is an important part of my work…."
"My photography package includes two days, because on the very day of the wedding it's sometimes difficult to document the very best record of the celebration. I like to work with couples on choosing another day, during which we can go ANYWHERE and make all the "art dreams" come true!
I'm absolutely in LOVE with UK and am now taking bookings from UK couples, who I'd be so very happy to work with for the up-coming season…"
