Rock the TWO Frocks ~ A Beautiful Post-Wedding Photoshoot…

I just love these images by Surrey, Hampshire and Berkshire Wedding and Lifestyle Photographer, Naomi Kenton.

Naomi worked with one of her Brides, Hannah who had recently wed, to capture these images as a way of celebrating Hannah's TWO wedding dresses 🙂

"This shoot was for a recent bride, the lovely Hannah who recently married Jamie at Rivervale Barn in Hampshire.  On the big day, Hannah had two wedding dresses – a fairytale style one for the day, then a super glamorous one for the evening.

A couple of months after the wedding, we went out for the afternoon to a local gardens and woodland area, to do a 'Rock the Frock' session; we had lots of fun dressing up and trying out different vintage accessories, my favourite being the little faux fur wrap, which looked amazing.

It was pretty cold during the shoot (and I wrapped Hannah up in blankets in between shots!) but it was really worth it as the autumn and winter colours really suit the vintage fashion inspired theme and give a totally different take to Hannah's dress, as her wedding was on a summer's day…"

"I really love doing Rock the Frock sessions for brides, I think every bride should have one!  I love the idea of just going out and having fun, getting excited about 'the dress' again and choosing a lovely location.  I always use natural available light and try to bring elements of fashion photography to the shoot, with natural poses that will make the bride feel happy and relaxed in front of the camera.

The wedding day can all go by in a bit of a rush and you can't take too much time away from your guests to get these types of shots on the day.  So if you have this session a couple of months after the wedding instead, you can complete your album with some really pretty shots to celebrate your dress.  It also gives you the chance to experiment a bit more and try out other looks with different hairstyles and accessories and get some images that you will always cherish.

A big thank you to Blush Floral Design for the beautiful bouquet of roses, and to Make Up Artist Nicola Taylor…"
