I loved these photographs that talented, new to the scene Photographer Danielle Benbow sent me recently – and thought they might inspire a few of my readers considering a 'cherish the dress', or 'rock the dress' photoshoot.
Regardless of the name given to this post-wedding photoshoot, the opportunity can be a huge amount of fun, and provides a chance for you to truly rock out in that wedding dress of yours for one last time. Many Photographers offering this style of shoot these days have access to the best Hair and Makeup Artists and Stylists too…
"I decided to spend the odd weekend organising certain photoshoots to try and build up my portfolio. These photos come from a selection of "Rock the Frock" type shoots I've undertaken recently. The gorgeous brides are all friends, or friends of friends who came to me asking for a few extra photos of them in their wedding dresses.
The fabulous locations that feature in the photos come hand-in-hand with visiting the wonderful people I capture in lens; from deserted old manor houses to country parks and steam stations…"

"The photos at the ruins are a location near Mansfield. The frosty photos with the bride in the pink cardigan were taken at Sutton Park, Birmingham and the others were at the Great Central Railway in Leicestershire. The comments you get from passers by are the best when you're taking photos of gorgeous ladies in wedding dresses; my favourite being:
Dog walker: "Where's the groom?"
Me: "At the pub."
Dog walker: [shocked face! Turns to bride and sighs…] "Well shouldn't he be here? You only get married once."
Bless, I think she thought it was actually their wedding day!"
Thanks so much for sharing Danielle 🙂
