Pretty Parisian Bride…

Good afternoon – it's count down to the weekend, time to look forward to a little down-time with my family after such a hectic week. I'm looking forward to a very long walk at some point too.

These elegant photographs were sent in by American Wedding and Portrait photographer based in Paris, Juliane Berry.  They feature newlywed Nastassia, wearing her beautiful 'Lady Eleanor' (US) wedding dress as she wanders the streets of Paris in a post-wedding photoshoot.

I love the whole romantic and whimsical vibe of these photographs…

"For Nastassia's portrait session, I simply wanted to capture a Parisian girl in her environment. I didn't want this photo shoot to be about big Paris landmarks, although you can see Notre Dame in the background of a few of the shots.

The photo shoot took place in the centre of Paris, primarily along the Seine River and in the courtyard of the Louvre on Halloween.  The look I was going for was dreamy and vintage with a touch of whimsical.  It was also my priority to capture the beautiful warm colors of the Fall foliage…"

  1. Lovely, almost ballet-inspired. She’s brave as well: I would have been to scared to pose on that embankment wall! But what fantastic shots as a result!

  2. Hi ‘Wedding Dresses’ 🙂
I love what Juliane has done in this shoot and don’t think the absence of the Bride’s new Husband in any way reduces the impact of these images or the essence of ‘romance’. Perhaps if I’d have called it a ‘Cherish The Dress’ or ‘Rock the Frock’ or some other such strapline, you might have observed the images in a different light?
Let’s not forget, Brides have a love affair with their dresses too, as well as their Husbands 🙂 The idea of having a day to celebrate just the dress appeals to many newlywed Brides, and allows the Bride the opportunity to act out a little fantasy – I mean, how often does a similar opportunity in life arise to let loose and have a little fun like this?
I think the images have more than enough depth to them as it is – they are all about the Bride, and her special relationship with her dress 🙂
    Much love,

  3. This is beyond gorgeous, I want the second photo framed on my wall!
Any bride who lies down on the ground in her dress is a hero in my eyes…well worth it though! xx
