Snow White Bride – A FairyTale Inspired Photoshoot…

I was contacted shortly before Christmas by Photographer Alex Beadon and asked if I would be happy to supply some contacts, with a view to her potentially pulling a team together to work on some bridal inspired photoshoots. I love that my blog can be a platform for showcasing the talent of others, and being such a fan of Alex's work {I have followed her blog closely for sometime now}, I was of course happy to oblige. The result of the first of these photoshoots was featured on Love My Dress here and here.  Today, Alex shares with us her Snow White inspired photoshoot.

I'm excited about this particular photoshoot, not least because I feel very privileged to feature Alex's work, but because my friend Tiffany Grant Riley (vintage wedding planner extraordinaire!) and dress designer Dana Bolto were involved.  Dana creates the most utterly beautiful wedding dresses. I know, I borrowed one to wear to the Designer Wedding Show (report coming up) last week.  Infact, want to know something? It was that very dress you see before you in the first picture below and it's hanging up right next to me now.  And I absolutely totally and utterly ADORE it {such lightness of fabric, such elegant lace, so very well constructed and it fit's beautifully – as soon as I had put it one, my little girl looked up at me and said 'Mummy, you look beautiful!'}.

Alex Beadon tells us more about her Snow-White inspired bridal photoshoot…

"This was my second creative bridal shoot of the year {the first was featured on Love My Dress here}, and I really wanted to do something a bit different and unique.

My friend, Lovis, came up with the idea of Snow White. I thought it was perfect, a great story to take inspiration from, and I was lucky enough to get the fabulous Dana Bolton on board. Her vintage inspired wedding dress designs were perfect for this photo shoot, and really added a wonderful depth to the imagery.

All of the styling was by Tiffany Grant-Riley, she came up with the gorgeous concepts featured on the table, and also brought along some beautifully detailed pieces…"

"Samia Mazhar of the Vanilla Cake Shop is the creative master behind the delicious cupcakes and cakes although Dana Bolton is the genius behind that pie!

The incredible make up was done by the fabulously talented Mariam Jensen. She was a real pleasure to work with, and ineffably talented. And the hair was done by Severin Hubert of 'Hepburn Collection', who honestly turned their hair into works of art. I was blown away by his talent and kind nature.

The flowers were provided by WildAbout, and I was just stunned at the way they arranged and created each piece.

I'm so pleased with how these images came out. The images are the result of a combined effort from every single person involved on the day, to each of whom I owe a huge "thank you" as I am incredibly grateful for their time, effort and obvious talent."

I'm receiving more and more enquiries from Photographers who are keen to develop their portfolios with creative photoshoots similar to this one, and to have them featured on wedding blogs like Love My Dress.

The BEST advice I can give to any Photographer looking to do this is, get a Stylist on board first.  They are your BEST first port of call and a good stylist will have all the best connections already on their books.

Tiffany Grant Riley, the Stylist behind this shoot told me more…

"I was very pleased to be asked to be involved in this shoot as, having just launched Grant-Riley Styling, it seemed like the perfect platform for it!  For me, this was a chance to open the floor to suppliers I hadn't worked with before as I like to keep things fresh and I have to thank Samia and Leanne's team at WildAbout especially for all their hard work.

Alex's work shows such creativity and it was a joy to feed off each other on the day of the shoot…"
