Good morning everyone 🙂 As you read this post on Monday morning, I will be preparing for a couple of days away in London with some fellow bloggers, an award winning photographer and the team behind one of the best wedding boutiques in the UK! But more on that later 🙂
It's always such a huge pleasure to feature the work of a Photographer I admire so much and the images in this real wedding feature are no exception. Vicky and Haydn tied the knot on 19 December 2010 with a wedding at the exclusive Staffordshire Country House wedding venue, The Ashes, on the Staffordshire Moorlands, which the couple fell in love with because of the listed barn building and space it provided – the couple had free run to decorate the barn exactly the way they wanted it.
Vicky wore the most beautiful Sassi Holford lace wedding dress for her snowy winter wedding, a purchase from Bellissima in Ramsbottom, Bury...
"I knew I wanted a vintage feel to my dress and loved the lace and the sleeves and neckline, I added a sash as well which made the dress different to anything else I had seen…"

What a stunning view of the couple's venue, The Ashes, on the Staffordshire Moorlands…
Vicky's beautiful pearl bracelet was a purchase from Debenhams…
Vicky wore shoes by Benjamin Adams – this particular design is called 'Winslet'….
The Topiary Tree provided the lovely pale florals…
"I chose amnesia and avalanche roses, anemones and hyascinth and misteltoe, as it was Christmas! The bridesmaids had avalanche roses and anemones. I wanted a vintagey feel to the flowers…"
I just love this table plan…
"My mum and sister hand made hearts filled with lavender for the ladies, the men had a piece of mistletoe at their place setting. I used luggage labels for the place name settings and stamped people's names on…."
Good old Marks & Spencer came up trumps with this beautiful wedding cake, the cake topper for which was created by Haydn's Mum…
Words of Wedded Wisdom…
"look at magazines, websites etc for inspiration but make sure you incorporate and include things that are personal to you."
