The Beautiful and The Damned ~ A 1920s and 1930s Inspired Collection by Dress Designer Joanne Fleming, with Accessories by Yulia Kunze…

Happy Monday Morning! How was your weekend? Did you get up to anything good?

I provided a sneak peek via Twitter last week of this 1920's and 1930's inspired bridal photoshoot of the new collection from bespoke dress designer Joanne Fleming, called 'The Beautiful And The Damned', and the response blew me away.   It's not surprising, the visual delights below are a real feast for the eyes.

These stunning photographs were taken by London Photographer {covering commercial, and now Wedding commissions}, Marc Broussely. Joanne Fleming explains more…

"As you know, the 1920s and 1930s have long been a source of inspiration to me, and most of my collections over the last few years have had a thread of influence from this era running through them…but it seems that the last year has seen a pervasion of this style into the general zeitgeist. Good news for me as it it gave me the perfect excuse to design a collection reflecting this.

The brief for styling, hair and make-up was inter-war Parisian left-bank and Berlin Weimar decadence. I absolutely love what our two hair and make-up artists did…..and of course Marc's stunning photography has really brought this out.

It was wonderful to get a chance to collaborate with Yulia Kunze – something I've been wanting to do since first seeing her work featured on Love My Dress last year. I love the fact that her gorgeous pieces are created using  found artifacts from that time – such authenticity, and there is something about the way they sparkle, particularly in low light, that just can't be equalled by modern reproductions…."

"I was thrilled when I got the first few images from Marc, and after experimenting with a few art-deco fonts, I had the idea of naming the designs after some of my favourite novels of the time. I'd actually named a previous collection after one of my favourite authors, Collete, so it was sort of a continuation of a theme!"
