Hen Party Suggestion ~ Decadent & Self Indulgent Celebrations at ‘Coquette’, London, Saturday 9th April and Saturday 18th June 2011…

Hi Everyone!  How many of you reading this now are Brides to be thinking about what you can do for your hen party?  Here's an idea for you; what about taking your bestest friends along to 'Coquette'?  Co-what? Let me explain…

Coquette is a whole delirious afternoon dedicated to spoiling experiences.  Previously known as 'TART' at 40 Winks, Coquette takes place at the gorgeous 'Kettner's' of Romilly Street in Soho, London, and offers Brides to be {or infact, anyone who just fancies a weekend of spoiling themselves} the opportunity of a day full of self-indulgent decadence.  Any why not? If we can't go over the top and spoil ourselves every once in a while, and ESPECIALLY when we are planning a wedding, then I despair!

On arriving at Coquette, you will be served dainty sandwiches, yummy cakes and tempting chocolates created by Head Chef Winston Matthews, and offered cocktails and champagne, both surreptitiously provided in pretty vintage tea cups.  Sounds marvellous doesn't it? But oh let me tell you, that's just the start!   The organisers of Coquette told me more….

"While vintage hair experts, Lipstick and Curls, transform your tired tresses, beauty artists from cult cosmetics brand Benefit, will be working their magic to help you discover your inner starlet, or perhaps even your inner Scarlett!  Benefit's very own beauty guru and head make up artist, Lisa Potter Dixon will also be on hand, sharing her top tips with a special ‘Make Up Masterclass’, aimed at helping you create that perfect look for Spring/Summer 2011. Pay attention, and you might even win the ‘Benefit Best Girl Award’ (worth an eye watering £300!!!).

Our events always attract lots of fantastic guest speakers like Lana Citron on ‘The Art of Kissing’, and the marvellous Liz Brewer on ‘Etiquette for Girls’. These are often only confirmed shortly the big day, but we are pleased to announce that we have tied down ‘man guru’, author and social commentator, Zoe Strimpel for both the April and June dates. ‘Ten Ways To Make Him Fall For You’ is an essential dating clinic every girl should attend, whether you have already found love, or are still optimistically searching for it…"

A team of mystic megs will be rummaging through your empty teacups, and inspecting your well manicured fingers to help find answers to all your most pressing dilemmas (When will love strike? Which designer handbag should I buy this season? We are sure there are more)…

Exercise?

The organisers of Coquette told me "we don’t approve of excessive exercise at Coquette, we thought it would be rather jolly to introduce one activity to help you work up an appetite for more cake. ‘Dance with a Stranger’ will be a gentle introduction to the mysteries of Swing (not swinging) with the very dapper Mr Paul Crook as our Director of Syncopation. Dance cards will be available throughout the afternoon…."

Hungry for more?…

By the end of an afternoon at Coquette, you will feel, and look, like fabulous movie stars, so rather than simply pushing you out the door, the organisers of Coquette have persuaded their genial friends at Kettner’s to put together a special ‘A La Coquette Menu’, enabling you to continue the evening downstairs in style in the Brasserie (conveniently situated next to the Champagne Bar), and possibly even invite along those neglected boyfriends, husbands or lovers to admire and worship you. If you are interested in booking dinner as well, please mention this when confirming your tickets.

Here's hoping you all have the most decadent of hen parties ladies 🙂 What have you alll got planned?

Much love,

Annabel xXx
