Emma Domb Vintage Wedding Dress Glamour for a London Bride…

My heart alway skips a beat when I receive a wedding submission from Marianne Taylor. I don't need to even introduce Marianne's work to those of you unfamilar with her style – her gorgeous photography does all the talking.

Marianne photographed Bride Niki and her Husband Steve's wedding on 28 May this year, at London's luxurious and exclusive private members club, Home House.  I think Marianne must have known I'd adore this wedding and rightly so, just look at that gorgeous tiered tulle original '55 vintage wedding dress by Emma Domb, a purchase via the gorgeous  London vintage wedding dress store, Elizabeth Avey.  Emma Domb was a fashion designer who established her label specialising in prom-style, cocktail and party dresses in 1939. The dresses are popular with vintage dress collectors today and also with Bride's who favour the vintage style. I love this dress.  I have a thing about tiered dresses at the moment, and I'm permanently obsessed by tulle…

"My Emma Domb wedding dress was nothing like the dress I had in mind, but as soon as I put it on I couldn’t stop smiling and knew it was ‘the one’!", says Niki.  You can see why too – it fits her beautifully, as though it was made especially for her.  And her Kurt Geiger open-toed mid-heels make the perfect combo.

I hope you enjoy the delightful Super-8mm video from Love My Dress sponsor Mark W. Brown. Learn more about Mark via his sponsor intro feature here – and book now if you are interested in having Mark film your wedding day, because his diary is, unsurprisingly, filling fast!

"Enjoy the planning, take your time and it doesn’t have to take over your life! On the day, try as much as you can to take everything in (it’s difficult though!)…"
