Discussions, Debates and the Love My Dress Community…

Dear wonderful Love My Dress readers and community,

Love My Dress is primarily, as you know, a source of inspiration for couples planning a wedding.  From beautiful real weddings full of visual inspiration, to supplier features, to mood and inspiration boards created because I and my wonderful contributing guest writers wand you to be inspired.  Every single day.

However, Love My Dress is also a growing community – a community of eager Brides with wonderful style, Brides of all budgets and varying tastes, as well as industry professionals and bloggers – all of you I know, keen to engage with this community.

The community I have created through these wedding blog pages is immensely important to me; it is something I want to develop over the next 12 months so that Love My Dress is as synonymous with being a supportive community as it is a place where Brides can visit for style inspiration.

And this is where you come in.  I'm looking to develop and expand my series of discussion posts.

Discussion posts are great – they generate conversation and debate. They get people talking and thinking and they give us reason to dip in and feel a part of this wonderfully supportive and respectful community.

What types of discussion would you like to see featurd on Love My Dress?  Are there any particular topics or issues that you would like me to raise on your behalf? Don't be shy, I'm keen to tackle as wide a range of issues as possible – as long as they are helpful to you, my readers…

Community-1

So far I and my growing number of guest writers have tackled body size and finding the perfect wedding dress, the issue of changing your name after marriage, thoughts and contemplations on the successful marriage, wedding blogs their role and why they matter, and why blogs 'don't suck!', how to say 'thank you'the ethics of wedding dress manufacture, wedding favours and if they're worth the hassle, and first dance song choices.

We have debated what a vintage wedding is, the trouble with Twitter, disposable fashion, how to source your wedding suppliers and avoid the bad ones, and I have also started to chronicle my adventures in self employment, becoming a full time wedding blogger and being my own boss – which I love to receive your feedback on.

What topics would you like to see raised on Love My Dress in an effort to develop and expand this amazing community?

I would like to invite you to either email me or leave a comment (anonymous or otherwise) suggesting the types of discussions you would like to see.  You have my word that I will approach any topic with sensitivity and consideration – this I pride myself on.  But I don't want any issue to be too un-touchable uncomfortable, so whether it's entertaining children at weddings, how to propose during a leap year to marrying for a second, or maybe even third time or something more challenging, I'm keen to get the debate sparked.  I don't mind veering away from purely wedding related content either 🙂

I very much look forward to hearing from you my dear readers, thank you so much.

Lots of love all,

Annabel xXx
