Wedding Blog Intern Required ~ Apply Here…

** Application deadline now closed **

Morning my loves 🙂 If you've been following my Twitter and Facebook updates this past week, you'll know what today's post is going to be about already; I am looking for a blogging intern.

It's been over two years now since I started my blogging journey, and still have to pinch myself to believe how much has happened in that time.  I remember feeling so excited when I discovered I was getting 400 visitors a day to my blog – I couldn't believe it! At the last check, Love My Dress was receiving 195,000 unique visitors from all over the world {leaving almost 370,000 page impressions).  What's that saying, 'from little acorns'?

From the very first blog post I published back in November 2009 {which was absolutely nothing to do with weddings by the way!} I have had the most incredible journey, meeting and befriending so many wonderful people along the way.

Love My Dress Blogging Intern

I've been asked to speak at the UK Alliance of Wedding Planners annual 'Excellence in Wedding Planning' conference, exhibited at New York Bridal Market, as well as the Designer Vintage Bridal Show {twice}, voted by Elle Magazine as one of their top 5 wedding blogs, become a Freelance Writer and invited to  ontribute regular features for Vintage Life Magazine and Wedding Magazine, been photographed along with some of the UK's other top wedding bloggers by an Award Winning Photographer and hosted my first major wedding industry networking event at the BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Arts.

More recently, I have been asked by Oxfam to be an Ambassador for a very exciting campaign – details of which I'll be sharing with you soon and I have more exciting projects on the go too, but news of those will follow all in good time.

These are truly exciting times over at Love My Dress, but f I'm honest, its all getting pretty busy over here, and I'm in need of some help!

In the past two weeks, I have enlisted the assistance of an 'Admin Angel' and my Husband Phil will soon be joining me for two days a week to work with me on some special blog projects.  You see, Love My Dress is more than just me now, I need a team behind me to help drive Love My Dress forward and continue to deliver inspiring content to my wonderful readers.

And that's where my new intern comes in…

I am looking for an Intern to join the 'LMD team' from January 2012, for a period of 12 months.  The Intern can be located anywhere in the UK – the beauty of the interweb means that distance does not matter 🙂

Love My Dress Blogging Intern – Role Description

This my lovelies, is a brief description of the kind of support I am seeking via a Blogging Intern.  Someone who can…

{1}  Support and contribute towards the Love My Dress Wedding Blog for a period of 12 months, commencing January 2012

{2}  Contribute articles to Love My Dress a minimum of twice a month

{3}  Undertake research for future blog posts {as directed by me}, ie, to collate imagery and draft text together for bridal inspiration board features

{4}  Shadow me at industry events

{5}  Promote Love My Dress via the various online social networking opportunities {Twitter, Facebook etc}

{6}  Represent me at industry events that I cannot attend

Love My Dress Blogging Intern – Role Requirements

Ideally, you will:-

{1} Be an able and confident writer

{2} Be looking for journalistic type experience with a top UK wedding blog

{3} Be confident in representing me and reporting for me at any events I cannot/am unable to attend

It would also be desirable for you to own your own camera and have basic experience/confidence in taking your own photographs for sharing on the blog – but this really is not essential.

The most important thing for me, is that you are passionate about weddings and that are are keen to contribute and be a part of a growing and respected brand in the UK wedding industry.  You might well be a newly engaged Bride to Be, you might not.  It doesn't matter, as long as the passion is there and you have a genuine desire to want to contribute to Love My Dress, that's OK with me 🙂

In return, I will be able to offer the opportunity to gain experience of working with a developing brand in the UK wedding industry, exposure as a writer and blogger in your own right, getting involved in some really exciting projects, introduction to some of the industry's leading creatives as well as my own personal insight and experience into the world of blogging and online social media.

All basic expenses such as travel and accommodaiton will be covered, and I will also arrange for some professional PR shots to be taken to, that you will be free to use after your period of internship.

If you are interested in the opportunity of becoming the 2012 Love My Dress Blog Intern, please apply using the form below.  The deadline for applications is midnight on Sunday 4th December – this gives you two whole weeks to get your application in my lovelies!

Also, just to make clear too – I will be making the choice of Intern myself – this is not something that will go to a reader vote.

OK?  Let's go! 😉
