A Short Green Lace Dolce & Gabbana Wedding Dress for a Tomboy Bride…

Good morning lovers! 😉 It's Wednesday, it's half way through the week already and I'm feeling like sharing something a little bit different on the blog this morning.

Rose and Ben tied the knot on 3 September at the University Womens Club in Audley Square, London.  Being a self-confessed 'Tomboy', Rose must have broken out into a cold sweat at the thought of donning a floor length ivory number.  Instead, she opted for a very chic green lace Dolce and Gabbana knee-length dress from Matches in Wimbledon

"I am such a tomboy so buying a dress is totally out of my comfort zone, but they were so warm and friendly, they really put me at ease ( as well as the glass of cava that they gave me).  I tried on a traditional dress but I felt very restricted and uncomfortable. The dress is the most amazing colour and it’s very

comfortable to wear so I felt like I could move. It was the only dress I tried on that I just loved. Brides Veil     Brides Shoes A friend of mine had to coach me on this one! I had no idea that black shoes would not look good with the dress. She is an artist so advised me to buy purple shoes, I found the shoes quite by chance in Jones the Boot makers in the sale!"

The couple chose their wedding venue,
University Womens Club, because a very close friend was a member there and it seemed to offer everything the couple had hoped for in a venue…

"We wanted everything to be under one roof, its an absolutely beautiful venue with a garden, so we had the ceremony in the library over looking Hyde Park, followed by pimms in the garden, then we had the wedding breakfast in the dining room, (with a quiz) and then the band set up in the library for the evening fun!"

"Danny of Audley Flowers in Mayfair was our Florist – and he was brilliant, especially as I gave him such a random brief!  I wanted it to be a bit wild and all different like my Grandmas garden! He pulled it off and they were even more beautiful than I could imagine. The hair pieces we stunning…"

Words of Wedded Wisdom…

"The piece of advise I loved the most is plan part of the day for you and your husband to have a quiet 20 minutes so you can just take it all in as it is such an amazing and in some ways overwhelming day…"

Proof that you can wear whatever the devil you want to on your wedding day, and feel comfortable with that decision, and look fabulous 🙂

Huge thanks and congratulations to Rose, Ben and little Eloise  too :)  Big love and thanks also to Alexa Dent

"Our Photographer Alexa Dent was absolutely amazing with so much energy and enthusiasm, and she captured the day so perfectly. We didn't  want posed shots, the only one we had was everyone out side in the garden. We wanted to show the emotion of the day, which she captured perfectly.  She has really showed the story of the day by capturing so many special moments."

Come on then ladies, who isn't wearing white/ivory on their wedding day?

Much love all,

Annabel xXx
