A Woodland Inspired Wedding in Pretty Peach and Blush Pink…

Morning all!  I'm kick-starting the week with a beautiful real wedding, but first, a reminder that I posted three beautiful weddings to the blog this weekend {whilst playing wild abandon to my usual weekend blogging schedule!} and you can see them here, here and here.

Now this morning's wedding is looking rather peachy perfect.  And there's a thing; peach has been making itself look pretty all over these blog pages a fair few times of late – hoorah for the revival of a wedding day hue that was, up until not so long ago, banished along with memories of many other 1980s bridal style catastrophes.  I just love how this pretty shade is back in favour again – bravo for all you Brides working it to it's fully peach perfect effect.  Just like Rachel here.

Rachel and Matt tied the knot on 28th October at Yaxley Hall in Suffolk.  Now I have to be honest, whilst Rachel's lovely Alfred Angelo dress looks a real beauty, it was the couple's fabulous wood and bark venue decor and reception styling that won me over with this one, check out that wooden cake stand can all the wood and bark styling ideas…

"Matt and I love walking through the woods it is where we have some of our best chats and we especially like the autumn season. We wanted to capture the whimsical woodland atmosphere on our wedding day. We named all the tables after woods we had visited. We didn’t want to use the vibrant colours of autumn, so instead chose a softer palette of peach, mink and blush pink…"

"My close friend and bridesmaid made my wedding cake as a gift. A beautiful tower of cupcakes iced with leaves and topped with a small cream coloured iced cake. All displayed on a rustic stand made by matts step dad. The cake was the centre piece to the rustic candy buffet. This was fillled with hand made goodies from friends, maple biscuits, toffee apples cake pops etc a real hit!"

"For decor, we had bark lanterns scattered between pathways and between flowers, iron hearts hung in tree filled with candles and a rustic sign with our names and the date of the wedding by the entrance to direct our guests…"

"Nicky and Lorraine of Shrinking Violet Flowers provided our florals.  We decided we wanted a soft palette of colours blush, peach, mink with a natural rustic feel. We chose peach avalanche roses accompanied by pink spray roses and many other wild flowers and seed heads and foliage. They set these off in vintage vases and crates accompanied by wood, twigs and foliage.  We were blown away by the amount of flowers they provided and how stunning they all were…"

"I fell in love with my Alfred Angelo dress because of the beautiful sparkle that subtly runs through the fabric, and for a fuller dress it was so lovely and light because of all the taffeta…"

"We got married at Yaxley Hall – which was the first and only venue we saw. The private intimate wooded setting of this beautiful private home blew us away. We were won over instantly by the friendliness and professionalism of the staff. We are not from Suffolk but wanted to create a weekend getaway for our guests. You cannot stay in the venue so we stayed in Yaxley Hall’s beautiful cottages in the nearby village of Eye…"

"The bridesmaids dresses were all handmade by my friend Karen as a wedding gift.  I wanted my bridesmaids to feel completely comfortable in the style of the dress so they chose their favourite and all wore a mix of styles and colour shades. I had seven wonderful bridesmaids my 2 sisters, 3 nieces and two best friends…."

"Matt and I have known each other for a decade and are the best of friends. We were together for three years before going our separate ways for three years but always remaining friends. We have been together now four years and I don’t know if it was the mountain air, but last October after climbing Kilimanjaro Matt returned and proposed, we haven’t looked back!"

Words of Wedded Wisdom…

"Ask friends and family if they would like to be involved, see if they have any hidden talents they may like to use to help or to show off on the day!  It’s lovely spending time together in the run up to the wedding making and crafting things which will make the day itself more special.  It also helps with cost!"

Perfectly peachy Monday morning inspiration 🙂

Huge thanks to Photographer Victoria Phipps for this beautiful submisison…

"The talented Victoria Phipps was our Photographer.  Matt and I wanted natural wedding photos which also captured the beautiful autumn light and all the surroundings and WOW what a fantastic job she did!  Victoria visited us first at our home town for a seaside engagement shoot and instantly made us comfortable.  She was the perfect photographer for us…."

Have you noticed how peach is getting around these pages a fair bit of late? Pretty as.  Are you going peachy for your nuptials> 😉
