I had a ton of fun making this tutorial because First of all, gold is the best ever (and so on trend), and secondly, I believe a present is only truly a great present when the wrapping is spectacular. It’s true.

This is so easy to repeat for many guests and would make a stunning and eye-catching favour table if your celebration is a festive and glamorous one.

So, onward!

2. Metallic pens
3. Stapler

Part 1 – Preparing your name tags…

Cut out some strips of coloured card about 1.5cm high.

When you write out each name, leave about 3-4cm of spare card on the left side. Make a fold at 1.5cm from the right.

This folded flap will be used later to tuck your star into your wrapping paper…

Part 2: Make the Stars!

1. Trace and cut out stars on white card with a template either on this pdf (attached), or with the clipart tool on Microsoft Word or a word processing programme.

2. Laying newspaper on your surface, allocate two clear areas for this part. Spray the star with spray mount, then move to the other side to sprinkle glitter. If you don’t move the card, then any residue glitter will stick to your newspaper and will be wasted.

3. Work systematically: spraying, then moving along to sprinkle. Shake o# the excess glitter, then put the star to one side to dry o# for 5 minutes.

4. Touch the glitter-side lightly to test that the glue has dried properly before proceeding.
Turn the star upside down, and position an upside down name tag on it, ensuring that the
name shows. Staple tag onto the star, leaving the folded "ap open.

Part 3:  Wrap your favours
Cut out your wrapping paper as if gift wrapping, but allow 5-6cm extra in width. Do a onceaccordion fold, then wrap your favour normally, positioning the fold on the front-centre of the favour. The end result should have an open pocket like below…

Finally, just tuck in your name tag by its spare flap to secure. Ta-da!
