J. Crew and Ballet Flats for a Finnish Lakeside Wedding…

Afternoon my loves.  The wedding I'm featuring this afternoon wasn't accepted on a submission basis because it is full of beautiful detail shots or table decor or venue ideas.  It was simply because I fell in love with these images for the portrait and people shots they included.

I just adore the work of Photographer Ed Peers. Ed seems to be able to capture those precious, fleeting few seconds and moments when a couple really connect with each other for the camera. I always think that when a set of images of two people you have never met before moves you or stirs emotion in some way, then the photographer has done the best ever job.   Ed is one of these photographers and I hope that you enjoy looking through these photographs that he took of couple Ian and Mari and their wedding in July last year.

Ian & Mari chose the Restaurant Rustholli in Tampere, Finland as their wedding venue, for its serenity and beautiful lake-side view.  The couple were looking for a venue with a typical Finnish country feel to it, as they wanted to avoid a grandiose style wedding.

I love that Mari wore a pair of French Sole ballet flats with a simple and yet hugely flattering design by J.Crew Wedding

"It’s a simple, elegant dress and fitted the relaxed theme of the wedding. The material used was silk and I loved the feel on my skin…."
