All Inclusive Wedding Yurt Packages and an Invite to an English Garden Tea Party, 6th May…

"The yurts are a blank canvas that can be styled to suit the bride's theme…
from hippy and boho to classic English country!"

I love to share details of suppliers doing exciting things via Love My Dress, and this morning, I'd like to introduce you to a company whose founders/owners I met at  the Designer Vintage Bridal Show last year.  They are Lizzie and Jim of Wedding Yurts, a small company who specialise in providing beautiful, spacious yurts for hire at weddings, celebrations and other intimate gatherings.  What a gorgeous idea for a summer garden party style, or festival inspired wedding!

Lizzie and Jim would like to extend an invitation to Love My Dress readers, to attend a wonderful English garden tea party, that they are hosting on 6th May from 2pm to 6pm, at The Old Farmhouse in Dumbleton, the Cotswolds.   This event is being held to celebrate the launch of a special wedding package, designed to provide couples with an all-inclusive wedding day based on the yurt, the highly popular alternative venue to the "traditional" marquee, and set in a stunning countryside location in the Cotswolds called The Old Farmhouse – with more locations also planned.  This is a new venture with Clare Lee of Lilyfee Floral Designs, who is working iwth Lizzie and Jim in styling their yurts.

Wedding Yurts founder Lizzie Jones said…

"We wanted to make it easier for couples to be able to choose the yurt option for their wedding day and provide not just the setting but an all-in-one package. It's already proving to be incredibly popular!". The package includes hire of the yurts and all facilities, catering, bar, floristry, styling, photographer and more. It is designed to make the costs of a yurt wedding clear and affordable with one point of contact to ease the planning stresses…"

Garden Party Invite

Lizzie and Clare spotted the potential of Clare's own grounds at The Old Farmhouse in Dumbleton on The Cotswolds, for the yurt package. It's an 18th century farmhouse overlooking miles of unspoilt Cotswolds countryside where the yurts' vista is to the west where the sun sets over the Malvern Hills.

"As soon as we met with Clare of Lilyfee Floral Designs, we realised we had something very complementary" said Clare "I had experience with styling weddings in yurts and teepees and wanted to do more. When I met Lizzie we conceived the package idea.

The location at The Old Farmouse is simply dreamy.  Any bride and groom looking for a country-style wedding day will love its magic. Our Wedding Yurts have been designed with our eyes on the details, they are beautiful hand crafted structures made of sweet chestnut wood which looks very stylish against the cream canvas."

I can speak first hand about this wonderful business.  Wedding Yurts were exhibiting at the last Designer Vintage Bridal Show and I got to step inside one of their beautiful yurts which they had decorated inside so that it resembled something like a magical Moroccan den, bathed in pretty pink and red fairy lights.

At one side of the yurt, an extension had been erected to create a room that sat adjacent to the main area – inside it was a beautiful double wooden bed – this, was 'the honeymoon' suite. But the pièce de résistance was the amazing raw chocolate parlour that occupied part of the main space in the yurt.  The Raw Chocolate Parlour is another company owned by Lizzie and Tom…

Let's hear a bit more about The Event on 6th May, from Wedding Yurts founder Lizzie…

"The Old Farmhouse is set in 10 acres of unspoilt idyllic Cotswold countryside. The gardens have several distinct areas, all perfect for stunning wedding photographs.  The yurts nestle under a large weeping ash and from here one can enjoy the full glory of the views over the fields towards the Bredon and Malvern Hills and on a clear summer’s day even to the Welsh mountains.

Watch the incredible sunset while sipping your champagne and relax while the horses graze peacefully in the field. The Georgian farmhouse is situated in the village of Dumbleton and is two minutes from St.Peters Church…."
