…love is all you need. Sometimes my friends, I fall for wedding submissions purely because of the look of love evident in the photographs between the couple getting married. Forget sparkly accessories, veils, fancy shoes. There will be no long supplier list for this wedding. Forget the hours spent on detail and decor, the fancy stationery. There’s nothing wrong with any of these – I promote them almost every day, but every once in a while, a wedding comes a long and warms my heart purely for the way the couple are looking at one another. You know, that look that says – I know you’ve got my back, I know you really will stick with me through thick and thin – I know you love and adore me just as much as I do you. Love wins. Love is love.

Emma and Kate tied the knot on 7 June this year at Ox Pasture Hall in Scarborough…

Both ladies purchased their dresses from Debenhams, pretty purple designs with no extras by way of veils or accessories. I adore how these ladies kept it simple, kept the focus of the day on their love for one another…
“We chose purple and white as colours to guide the styling for the day – our dresses were purple and so our day worked around this colour…”
“We met at Reading University nearly five years ago. When I proposed to Kate I lined the hallway with candles and flowers which pointed into an arrow (the pointed towards the room where I had prepared a table with flowers and the engagment ring was in the middle of the table).
After I proposed I cooked a three course meal of all Kate’s favourite meals….”
“Our Fathers, Graham and Bernie gave us away. We both walked down the aisle to ‘Universe And You’, by KT Tunstall…”

It’s just lovely – a post that brings me back to the focus of what I’m doing, a simple celebration of deep love. How can you not feel happy for these lovely ladies when looking at these photographs?

Every once in a while, I like to step away from the wedding carnival and world of glamour and focus on what really matters – that thing called love.
