A Lusan Mandongus Wedding Dress for a Pretty Irish Bride…

Hello loves, I've been sat here in my office preparing a little 'real wedding' afternoon love for you…

Emma and Alastair tied the knot on 15 June at Lusty Beg Island, County Fermanagh in Northern Ireland.  This particular wedding appeals to me for the elegant dress Emma wears – it's a Lusan Mandongus design, a purchase from Eden Bridal in Northern Island. Check out the prettiest back of a wedding dress you ever did see and an elegant bridal entourage if ever there was one…

"I tried on literally about 100+ dresses! This dress incorporated everything I wanted into one (gorgeous) dress! I love it and have had it on a few times since our wedding day!!"

"Our wedding just included lots of things I like!! It was very personalised which is something I really tried hard to achieve. I tried to hand make as much as I could which started with our invitations (which required a lot of time!!), our order of services, table plan etc.

I am currently constructing our thank you cards! With all my ideas and plans, I worried whether it would all come together nicely or not, I think it did! Not everything matched but I think that made it all the more special!"

"Janet and Eve wore Dessy bridesmaids dresses bought in Tomorrow’s Bridal, Derry, Northern Ireland.

The most beautiful little girls! Sarah, Cora and Eve’s dresses were from Monsoon, their flower hair bands were made by our florist Bernie McGarry"

"Our Florist McGarry Flowers were wonderful!  I wanted to keep the flowers quite rustic and I think she did exactly that! They looked brilliant. The buttonholes for the men were lavender and looked great with the navy suits.

The flowergirls hair bands also had lavender and wild flowers and looked so sweet. Bernie McGarry done such an amazing job, I couldn’t have asked for better! I didn’t know about the “mr & mrs apple crates” in the church foyer which was a nice little surprise and also looked great!"

"Our photographers were Black Box Photography – these guys are really amazing! I cannot recommend them highly enough, they are super talented and a joy to be around!

The photos captured our day perfectly and they included every little detail! Louise and Louie photographed our Christmas Tree engagement shoot and my glamping hen party (both on their website), when the wedding was over I felt quite sad that we wouldn’t be seeing them again!

If you haven’t booked a photographer yet, book these guys!!"

"I wasn’t going to opt for a veil due to the detail at the back of the dress but it made me feel very “bridey” and so i went for it! Also my bridesmaids wouldn’t let me leave the shop without one!!"

"We collected vintage china over a period of about 18 months! Alastair and I attended car boot sales and charity shops and managed to find some really beautiful china! We used jam jars tied with lace and garden twine as candle holders and our florist filled jam jars with flowers as our table centrepieces…"

Words of Wedded Wisdom…

"My best friend is getting married next year and I keep telling her “be organised”!! if you have lots of personal touches or ideas that are handmade, the earlier you can do things the better.

I was super organised but still had so much to do the week of the wedding! It’s also good if you can identify a productive friend/relative, my bridesmaid Janet is my cousin and is the most ‘super-productive’ person I know! I’m not sure I could have done it without her!
