A Handmade, Locally Sourced, Natural and Rustic Wedding…

Hi all, top of the mid-week morning to you. Now, later this morning, I'm
blogging about a *full wedding dress giveaway*
(you get that?), thanks
to my wonderful friend and brilliantly talented designer, Zoe Lem (I
hope you've had a moment to read this fascinating interview with Zoe
from yesterday afternoon).

This morning, I'd like to feature a beautiful wedding that just oozes relaxed, rustic, handmade charm.  Jess & Phil tied the knot on 19th July this year, at the beautiful Cripps Barn in Cirencester, Gloucestershire.  Big thanks to photographer Rebecca Goddard for sharing these images.

"We wanted to create a very natural, rustic wedding and to really
involve the outdoors. We wanted as much as we could to be handmade or
locally sourced."

"We decorated our venue with seasonal flowers and vintage jugs that
we found in charity shops and mixed match lanterns that we borrowed from
friends.  Our flower were a combination –
some we grew ourselves and the others we got from organic florist Green & Gorgeous…"

"My dress – a purchase via Ellie Sanderson,
has a really timeless quality to it, it was so simple and elegant and
relied on the fall and flow of the fabric which I really liked. I also
knew that with it being so simple that I could add my own twist to it,
vintage lace flowers for example, to really make it my own individual
dress."

Those pretty blue numbers are from Phase Eight, by the way…

"Phil's Father made the cake – he is a great cook and baker! It
looked so natural, decorated with a posy of flowers, it tasted amazing
too and really fitted with the style of our day."
