How did you get into wedding
photography?

'I
was a self taught photographer and about 10 years ago I decided to turn a
passion into a career. I went to night school and trained with Annabel
Williams so that I had the best start and could specialise in wedding
photography straight away.

I can’t believe how much time has passed and how
successful the business has been since then. My first business plan was written
on the back of a napkin in a bar in the South of France…really!'

What do you love about
photographing weddings?

'I
love weddings…pure and simple. I’m a real girly girl when it comes to love
and romance and dresses, flowers, shoes and all the things that make a wedding
so wonderful. No two weddings are ever the same, even if they are at the same
venue and people get so creative with their plans, its all so exciting.

The
best part though, is showing them their pictures after their honeymoon and
after all the celebrations have died down. That half hour when they see their
pictures for the first time is just the best and if they cry…its even better!!'

What inspires you when it comes
to your work?

'Many
things inspire me when I’m working. I’m inspired by the couple themselves and I
work hard to get to know them before the wedding so that I can understand what
they want and don’t want. How I felt on my wedding day 7 years ago also
reminds me that all the planning and hard work is actually about 2 people in
love.

If I can capture that love in my photography then I’m happy.'
