Earlier this month, as many of you would have been preparing for a weekend of bonfire parties and fireworks, I headed to Ripley in Surrey to pay another visit to Love My Dress sponsor, Miss Bush Bridal Wear.

I'm no stranger to the glamorous events organised by Emma Meek and her team. In fact, I've previously shared my cocktail fuelled adventures with you all on these very pages. This visit was a little different though. Arriving the night before the scheduled wedding showcase meant I was able to watch the event materialise before my very eyes, as a rather unassuming room at The Talbot Inn {recently taken over by Marco Pierre White, no less} was transformed into a glamorous backdrop for the very latest Jenny Packham gowns and a whole host of other stylish details.
When Emma Woodhouse {a.k.a The Wedding Reporter} and I strolled into the space reserved for the Miss Bush team, we were greeted by a blank canvas and two cheery florists hard at work.
We watched in awe as Bloomin' Gayles and Fairynuff Flowers created an array of autumnal displays throughout the room. It's been a while since floristry has truly blown me away, but the manner in which these ladies reimagine the world of wedding flowers is inspiring, to say the least. Their work was perfectly complimented by the clever lighting provided by Stressfree Hire. The gentle twinkling of fairy lights bathed the otherwise drab room in magic, and the addition of a chaise lounge and antique vanity table only added to the glamour.
By the time we returned the following morning, a whole host of wedding suppliers had helped put the finishing touches to the room and the models that would soon grace its makeshift catwalk. Emma and I drooled over the huge naked cake, crafted by Cakes by Sugar, and marvelled at the delicious looking sweetie buffet provided by Creative Candi.
The models lucky enough to be slipping into exquisite gowns from Jenny Packham's 2013 collection had been made over by the talented Makeup Artist Carolanne Armstrong. Exaggerated lashes and perfectly winged eye-liner was paired with fabulous hairstyles courtesy of Elbie Van Eeden. It was hard not to feel decidedly plain next to their messy beehives and softly cascading curls. Soon, photographer Juliet McKee was in attendance and fiercely capturing every beautiful detail.
As prospective customers filed in, I was reminded once again of Miss Bush Bridal Wear's status as one of the most stylish and forward thinking wedding boutiques in the UK. The glamorous world of autumn decay curated by Emma Meek and her team clearly left the visiting couples inspired and excited.
And the dresses? Oh the dresses! We watched in stunned silence as the models took to the catwalk. Each gown seemed more perfect than the last, our rapturous gaze met with visions of silk and tulle, shimmer and sparkle.
If you're keen to make an appointment and explore the range of gowns on offer at Miss Bush Bridal Wear please email emma@missbushbridalwear.co.uk or ring 01483 222815.
