Morning all! Leaving you a little reminder about the big promotion we have running at the moment with Fiona Kelly – if you haven't booked your wedding photography yet, you *must* see this.
Today is a day all about the real weddings. And I have
two super lovely ones for you starting with one that has really stolen
my heart just a little bit. This is Steyn and Daniele, and
they tied the knot on 2 November 2012 at The
White Building in London and the mighty Emma Case
was there to capture it all on camera.
Now the first two
things that I fell for on viewing these images were the dress, and that
smile. Dare you to not feel just a twinge of happy when looking at these photographs of Daniele and her fabulous smile. But ooohhhh the dress…
"My Dress was
from a shop called Joyce Young Outlet in Maryhill Glasgow and I made my
own dress for the party at night!"

"I wore a few flowers in my hair to the side and my hair in a plait around my head too. I also
wore my Mothers bracelet and my Grandmother's pearl and diamond
earrings, and a lovebird necklace by Alex Monroe."
"I
wanted a 1930's style dress (long sleeves and a tight body adn a long
lace veil) and I looked everywhere! Every vintage dress shop in London
and online! And then eventually, when visiting my Mum, she suggested se
just stop by a traditional dress shop in Glasgow as they have an
outlet. Convinced I would not find anything but wanting to just please
my Mum, I went – and found the perfect dress!
I fell in love with it
and it was exactly what I had in mind. I also loved that it was velvet.
It was so warm! I also found a veil that cost the same price as buying
an original vintage one. It was really too good to be true and all
found in one morning. In the end, I loved that my dress was found in my
Mum' hometown…"
"We
used Melissa at Jam Jar Flowers. I was keen to have very wild looking
flowers and use Jam Jars and crates to fit wit the venue. I had great
plans to do this all by myself, but began to realise that would not be
easy and luckily a friend of mine recommended Melissa. We had a great
first meeting and she completely understood the look I wanted.
I was
excited as I knew she would make the place amazing and she did! I really
did love my flowers and I was quite emotional as I couldn't believe how
beautiful they looked – more than I could have hoped for. I LOVE Jam
Jar Flowers!"
"I wore a
long lace edged veil also found via Joyce Young Outlet . I was so thrilled as
the one in London that I had wanted prior to this cost a fortune!
My Bridesmaids wore two different dresses from Warehouse (the pink ones) and Cos (the long pleated ivory ones)..."
"We got married at The
White Building in
Hackney Wick. We both really wanted to get married in London and have
all our friends and family join. We found this place by the canal in the
middle of Hackney Wick called the White building in the summer. We
loved it as it was everything we wanted..simple with space where we
could have our ceremony and space for food and a party.
We
loved that the venue is in Fish Island on Hackney Wick where we have both
spent a lot of time and love that we can describe it to people as being
in fish island which makes it sound a bit like a special island in
London. We spent a lot of time by the canal together and
even got engaged there so when we found this place it instantly felt
right. We really wanted a place with character that was very simple and
we could decorate ourselves and get all our friends involved and make it
personal.
It was actually a blessing that we found a
venue we loved in Hackney to get married as we are both not from London
it is at least lovely to get married in a place that we have lived and
we know well and has meaning for us in London."
"Steyn
bought his suit in Reiss. He wanted a blue suit and found this one and
loved it as he was quite particular about the shade of blue!"
"My Father walked me down
the sidle. My favourite movie was The Land Before Time when I was
little, so my friends played the theme tune on piano and violin as I
arrived. The song is 'If we hold on together' by Diana Ross – which
always used to make me cry and dream when I was little."
"We
are Christians and are both part of a big church in London. We are
both part of the band and that is why we also wanted a venue where our
band could play on the day!"
"The
White Building was perfect as there was an upstairs art space that we
used for the ceremony, where we had our Church band. My friends made me
a cross and heart wight lights to decorate and we used bunting and
lights and tissue balls and bells to style the area too..."
"We
really wanted a place with character that was simple and we could
decorate ourselves and get our friends involved. For decor I have
managed to gather some different paper decorations from different
styling jobs I have done, we had bunting and festoon lighting and had
all the lights and bunting inside and out and to light up the canal.
The
white building was very simple so with decorations and the flowers it
added to the character of the venue. The
White Building has a rustic
feel so we had a lot of flowers in jam jars and in crates! The wedding
was the 2nd November so as it is guy fawkes weekend we will had lots
of sparklers and lanterns also , this was also a bit special to us as
we met at a fireworks night."
"Our
photographers Emma and Pete of Emma Case Photography were just amazing – from the moment I sent
the initial email asking them to be our photographers, we received the
warmest reply and they were a delight to deal with before the time and
on the day itself. Emma was brilliant, she really felt like a long lost
friend and was so much fun! Emma and her Husband Pete felt like friends
taking our pictures, as they were so lovely and friendly.
They were
perfect and I knew she would take beautiful photographs and capture the
day wonderfully – which, they did. They really are a marvellous pair,
and extremely talented. I wouldn't want anyone else to have taken our
photographs."
Words of Wedded Wisdom…
"Have fun, enjoy planning it and make use of people wanting to help! Also, try to make it personal.
Don't
take it all too seriously (only the commitment bit, of course!), and
enjoy the day. Enjoy your friends and family and new Husband all
together on the day – it only happens once!
I wanted a
really simple look and wanted to make the venue look rustic and pretty
with white lights. I just wanted the place to look soft and easy – a
clean look."
Just utterly and absolutely beautiful in every way, I felt quite
moved pulling this piece together – seeing the couple's commitment to
their faith, loving Daniele's smile and just feeling the love – you
know?
I love this wedding – how about you?
And long sleeves on a wedding dress! There should be more brides with long sleeved wedding dresses. I demand it!
Massive thanks to the brilliant Emma Case for sharing these lovely wonderful photographs and big love to the dress designer, also our Sponsor, Joyce Young of Scotland.

I love their passion, enthusiasm and that glow in their eyes. Quite simpel wedding but at the same time with a charm that makes it unique. Congrats!
Its great to see real worship, joy and celebration during a wedding ceremony. This is what its all about after all. Love these photos x
Absolutely beautiful, looks like a day full of joy and emotions. Beautiful pictures
Probably one of my favourite weddings featured on here. They look so loved up together! That is exactly the suit we are after for my hubby to be as well! I’ve been torn about bridesmaids and how many is too many but this wedding has inspired me to just ask how many I want!
x
Beautiful wedding, the couple look so happy and the photographer really captures their relationship. Also loving the stationary and signage, very nice touch.
