Welcome To All New Readers, Newly Engaged and Due To Be Marrieds!

Hello lovely new readers.  It goes without saying that each new year here at Love My Dress brings with it a new set of readers, who will have become engaged over the festive period to their loved ones – just like I did four years ago, and who are using the web to seek inspiration for their venue, wedding dress, so on and so forth.

It wouldn't feel right if I didn't mark this by saying a huge big HELLO to you all and welcoming you to Love My Dress and this lovely community we have here of engaged brides and grooms, writers, blog readers and industry people who are love visiting and dipping their toes into a pool of beautiful wedding inspiration each day.

The photographs in this feature are all taken from 'love shoots' that I blogged in 2012 – most of which were happy couples engaged to be married or who had already tied the knot and were simply celebrating their love for one another…

If you're still pretty unfamiliar with these wedding blog pages and how they can help you, you can learn more
about Love My Dress thorugh our 'About Page', but in brief, Love My
Dress is me, Annabel, and my trusty (and ridiculously attractive)
sidekick, Franky.  We are supported by a team of writers but
essentially, we run the show and we work our backsides off (it's a labour of love) to bring you
page upon page of wedding inspiration, advice and some good old life and
love
based emotional support.  I've also just written my first book,
Style Me Vintage Weddings, and you can pre-order your very own copy via
Amazon
right now.

What else is there to know about me? Well, I do like to be beside the seaside (I just moved to Whitby, where I also got married). I'm also a bit of a tech geek but I love to read too and I especially love to immerse myself in some of my favourite magazines over a nice cup of Yorkshire tea (Elle Decoration, Homes & Antiques, Pretty Nostalgic, Vogue and the essential Grazia, of course).  I'm currently obsessed with filling my home with pretty things that reflect my love for antiques, vintage and always an element of glamour, which is a little like the way I fill these blog pages, if I'm honest.

Every now and then I'll write a personal post that provides snippets of information about me and my life, and what I love doing most, but what I'd love to do today is get to know you a little – be you a brand new or regular reader.

So, tell me;

* if you're a bride to be, and if so, when is your wedding and what kind of day are you and your husband planning?  How did your husband propose? Or did you take the initiative and propose to your beloved?

* are you someone working in the wedding industry who loves to visit this pages for inspiration?

* or are you here because you are already married but love our pages so much you can't let go? Hehe – go on, 'fess up, we love you kind of gals –

What I'd also really love to know is, is there anything on these pages you'd like to see more or, or maybe less of, or a brand new kind of feature perhaps? We've worked to pretty much cover all things 'wedding' as you'll see from the drop-down menus to the top right of this page, but as one of the UK's leading and award winning wedding blogs, we can't
afford to just sit on our laurels – we need and want to keep
improving our reader experience.

So this is just a little post to say, Happy New Year, welcome and, let's get to know each other a little better 🙂

I really do value you taking the time to visit these pages and in so doing, supporting our much loved sponsors and all those who take time to submit content for featuring on Love My Dress.

I can't wait to hear back from you too – it always excites me when readers get in touch.

I'll be checking back regularly throughout to today to say hi back to all those who stop to say hello and introduce themselves.  In the meantime, I'm off for a cuppa. Yorkshire tea, of course 😉

With much love everyone,

Annabel
