Lunch Time Love ~ Luxury and Bespoke Wedding Invitations and Stationery by Leoni Gordon

I've never made any secret of my love for pretty paper. Despite the fact my wedding day is long gone, and I have no call for wedding stationery of any kind, I can't help but pore over images of carefully crafted paper goods. Today I suggest we all get lost in the work of Leonie Gordon

Leonie Gordon London is a
boutique-style company that specialises in designing luxury, bespoke stationery for weddings and special occasions. Leonie's signature style is all about luxury and contemporary
elegance. Her invitation's are designed to perfectly set the tone of the wedding or event and leave a lasting impression on the recipient. Most designs carry a simple image or pattern and are hand finished with luxurious
ribbons, buckles and embellishments.

If you're looking for simplicity, style and a touch of glamour for your wedding stationery, the work of Leonie Gordon London could be for you.

Leonie told me more about the company, which she started after her own wedding in 2005.

'As a naturally creative person, I fell in love with the wedding industry
and decided to leave my desk at Deutsche Bank and set up my own wedding planning company. However, I soon realised it wasn’t for me. It simply didn’t allow enough freedom to be creative. As I was much better suited to the design side of the
industry, the company evolved and eventually Leonie
Gordon London
was born.'

'I love design, and from
an early age I'd spend hours drawing, painting and creating. Running Leonie Gordon London allows me to express my style and combine elegant design with luxurious
embellishments to create one-of-a-kind invitations that are thoughtfully
created and hand-finished to perfection for each client.'

'I love the creative outlet that producing wedding stationery allows me as a designer. I love being involved in such a
magical part of a couple's life story and I love it when I get a thank you from
a client saying how blown away they were when they received their invitations
and how their guests loved them!'

'I am inspired by anything and everything – patterns,
nature, architecture – but mainly I am inspired by the individual style and
tastes of my clients. Each one is unique and has their own story to tell,
I love to uncover it and find out how I can incorporate this into the core of
their design.'

I asked Leonie what advice she would give a couple when picking out
their invitation suite and she offered the following words of wisdom…

1. Think about the tone of your wedding
and choose an invitation suite that will reflect this and communicate it clearly to your guests.

2. Think about whether or not you want
to incorporate your colour scheme/theme into your invitation suite. For example, do
you want your invitation to introduce your guests to your colour scheme/theme
for the first time – or do you want to leave it as a surprise for the big day?

3. Think about opting for a bespoke invitation. If you have the budget, getting a bespoke invitation designed will
enable you to really reflect your individual story as a couple.

4. Think about ordering your invitations at least 6 months in advance to ensure a relaxed, stress-free
process.

Are you taken with these designs? I'm on a bit of a floral kick at the moment {no doubt because I'm craving the arrival of spring}, so I've fallen for the Rose collection in a big way. How about you?

Much love,

Franky
