Brides, if you're no aware of the Zoe Lem Vintage Wedding Fair, taking place on 14th April at Bloomsbury Ballroom in London, you really do need to be! This is not your average wedding fair. Far, faaaaar from it. Consider it more of a 'spectacular'. A bit of a fancy extravaganza. A showcase of some of the most exciting designers (see the full list of exhibitors on this page) out there in a totally fabulous environment with tea and cakes (or champagne, if it takes your fancy), live entertainment, fabulous models mingling with guests wearing the most exquisite original and replica vintage bridal wear, live sessions from Zoe Lem, the vintage shape Mistress herself, address shape and how to find the perfect shape for you and well, SO much more.
And really, only Zoe Lem and in her own inimitable style could produce a promotional video like this one :) It's fabulous, it's fun, cabaret - here we come!! :)
“Vintage has become such a huge trend in both mainstream fashion and in particular the wedding market. I believe our Fair is very different from the other wedding fairs for two main reasons; the first is that it showcases the glamorous edge to vintage which is, I believe, the side worth revisiting; less aprons and teacakes and more Hollywood glamour!
The second is that though the fair is about inspiring brides and giving them beautiful food for thought. The show is all about education so that brides can understand those shape and style elements indicative of a particular vintage era, and how they can revitalise them and look out of this world wearing them on their wedding day...”

"As my slogan goes 'there is no such thing as the wrong dress, just the right dress on the wrong body'. Through the past fifteen plus years dressing bodies of all shapes and sizes, I have really never found any two bodies the same.Though the high street tries to tell us that we are either one thing or another, we all have different bits and bobs in different places that make us who we are. Once we have accepted that, and learn how to spend less time comparing and more time positively trying to create an amazing silhouette, that suits both our shape and lifestyle - then dressing yourself becomes much easier, and much more enjoyable.
When it comes to bridal, I'm very much all about finding the perfect shape to suit each body shape. So often, girls will come to me with a set era or look that they want to achieve on their wedding day, eg, the 1920's or 1930s - but the 20's might not be loving that body! I would always recommend we find the perfect silhouette to flatter the figure and to highlight the slimmest bits - balancing the figure from head to toe in it's entirety. We can then style the look 20's, 30's or what ever style the bride loves and is influenced by, but getting the silhouette and shape right first is absolutely essential."
