Part two (see our first fabulous wedding here) of the 'old Hollywood glamour' theme today comes to you from one of the swankiest hotels in London – Mayfair's 5* Luxury hotel, The Connaught, where Michelle and Tom tied the knot on 20th October last year.
Michelle, who was in the process of establishing the My Baby Offers website
at the same time she was planning her wedding (crazy/genius??), says here and Tom wanted a London
wedding and chose The Connaught because if offered a perfect setting
for an intimate style celebration…
"We also wanted our
wedding venue to fit the theme of old Hollywood Glamour – oh and the
fantastic food from two Michelin Star chef Helene Darroze and The Connaught too!
We chose the old Hollywood glamour style to work with because we love glamorous places and I simply love
the elegant look of the 1940’s – all red lips, red nails and sultry eyes…"

"The Connaught's recommended florist, McQueens, is renownd
as one of London’s finest florists. Went for classic white and green
roses, hydrangeas with Lilly of the valley and jasmine. We wanted
something simple, elegant and classic to match the hotel and the whole
theme..."
"My wedding dress was Jenny Packham's Imari, which I bought from Blackburn Bridal in Blackheath. I adored the opulence and glamour and the fit – it felt amazing on and the detailing was fantastic.
My earings were my something borrowed from my bridesmaid and I actually bought them for her wedding as her something new."
Beautiful Twobirds Bridesmaid dresses in the colour slate…
"We met randomly while both on a night out in London and went on
a date and the rest they say is history. Tom proposed on Butterfly
Beach in Santa Barbara in California and I thought he was joking, but
soon realised he meant it and cried yes. We were engaged for 18 months
before the wedding."
"Our wedding photographer was Julie from Little Jewel Photography. Julie is
amazing and really makes you fee comfortable and has a fantastic
imagination and an eye for a great picture. We wanted to include some
fun pictures and Julie really did come up with some great ideas and
fantastic shots which showed our fun side but also the wonderful
surroundings, would recommend her in a flash…"
"My Dad walked me down the aisle to 'I Put A Spell On You by Nina Simone'…"
"Seeing Tom at the Registry Office and Giving my dad his Hanky were my two most emotional and favourite parts of the day…"
Words of Wedded Wisdom…
"Go with your gut feeling and look for inspiration on blogs like
Love My Dress which was my all time bible. Magazines don’t show ‘real’
weddings these do and you can get some fantastic ideas. Don’t stress
though and on the day try and stand back and take it all in as it goes
soooooo quick!"
I will forever love the old Hollywood glamour look. Forever.
Huge congratulations to you Michelle and Tom for your lovely intimate London wedding celebration. Michelle, you look knock-out in that dress and Tom, you make a very handsome Groom indeed 😉
