Win Tickets To The Eclectic Wedding Extravaganza, Sunday 24th March 2013 in Birmingham ~ It’s all about ‘EWE’ 2!! was last modified: May 7th, 2014 by Annabel

* The organisers of the Eclectic Wedding Extravaganza (EWE) are offering two pairs of tickets to two Love My Dress readers to attend their show on 24th March.  To be in with a chance of winning, simply leave a comment stating why you'd like to attend and which suppliers you're most looking forward to meeting *

What happens when three slightly mad wedding
suppliers come together? They hatch a crazy plan to bring a completely
different kind of wedding fair to the masses, that's what. And I'm
pretty sure some of my readers will partial to their
bonkers-yet-brilliant idea.

When Sassy of Assassynation, Jo of The Couture
and Vikki of dress company Liliia got nattering over a glass of wine (standard) one evening, they decided  that they would put on an 'Eclectic Wedding Extravaganza', with a truly eclectic mix
of brilliantly talented suppliers….

"We want to put on an amazing wedding extravaganza (aka 'fair') that would be
exciting for both the suppliers and  couples alike, so we hatched a plan
“A-team” style (Hannibal Smith would be proud)."

"The first show back in November 2012 was an amazing success and was so well received we couldn’t resist the cries from couples and Mo Flo’s alike of 'When are EWE putting on another show??' So with one show under our belts we have launched EWE2!

This will be held on the 24th March 2013 at Fazeley Studios in Birmingham – with lots more awesome suppliers designed to appeal to those brides and couples who seek an alternative style wedding.'

"The idea is that we want people to shake off the shackles of what
is considered ‘normal’ or ‘traditional’ and to take their own
personalities and loves and stamp them on their weddings.  With that in
mind we have picked suppliers who can help EWE do that!"

‘normal’ wedding fair!  Suppliers already signed up include
Emma Case Photography, Shutterbox Films, Hat Therapy, Prior Engagement Gowns (bespoke historical wedding dresses),
Revive Me Boutique
, The Conjurer’s Kitchen, Chris Barber, Little Ruby

"We will have a themed café so you can have a drink and something
to eat as well as a wedding dress walkabout to showcase some of the
gorgeous frocks.  There will also be a fun-tastic treasure hunt where
answers to clues can be found on the Mo Flo’s stands.

We want EWE
to get involved, pick stuff up, take a good look, really check out the
Mo Flo’s and ask them tons of questions as they are all a super friendly

"This is no ordinary wedding show, the suppliers aka the Baad Ass Mother Flockers have been chosen and invited based on their personalities, the quality of their end product and the fact that they offer something unique. White linen covered trestle tables are discouraged and hard sells are banished, we want you to come along, have a drink and a good old natter to the Mother Flockers that catch your eye.

The Mo Flo’s are being challenged to create stands that are totally unique and interactive. As well as having awesome Mo Flo’s at the show, we will be running some competitions, having a fashion walkabout/ramble and organising a treasure hunt!"

wedding photography package with Assassynation – and – £500 off a bespoke

  1. Ahhhh….now this is an easy one for me. My gorgeous pal Steph is one of the super schmexy models for The Couture Company and ever since I saw her pictures I’ve been lusting over their website…as well as being just a teeny bit jealous. Almost all of my friends have ‘nice’ traditional weddings. Well that’s ok for some, but I want glitter, tattoos, leopard print and cowboy boots! :-) I will be mostly squee-ing with excitement and the propect of seeing The Couture Company and The Vintage Salon.

  2. oh wow! I really can’t wait to attend this extravaganza, whether I win free tickets or not! I’ve been fawning over the Couture company website and blog a wee while now and am excited to see a whole shebang of people who’re able to help me create the perfect day that reflects me and my mister. Especially this week, I am coming for reassurance that I’m not completely nuts to want to do things a little differently and stamp our style on the day…even if some of our ideas do leave the M.o.G. ‘cold’..

  3. I have recently got engaged and my partner and I want our wedding to be far from the usual formal “do”. I would love some inspiration as there is so much that isn’t us and Lillia and the Couture Company have some really unique ideas! This sounds like a great day out so I might pester him to take me anyway!

  4. Have just set our wedding date for early Oct 2013, and I want some wedding ideas that involve more than pastel and pumpkins! Think I’ll find some at this wedding fair. Can’t wait to chat with Assassynation about their ideas, and see some of the dresses from ‘Prior Engagement Gowns’ as well as some great alternative suppliers. Really want to have a different kind of day that reflects my Mr and I. Think my mum is going to enjoy coming with me to this wedding fair with a difference…

  5. I am getting married at Fazeley Studios and was so excited when I saw that they are having a wedding fair! I definately want to go along – it’s a great space and I am excited to see everyone!!!

  6. This looks ace! Just what I have been locking for! Looking forward to checking out ”LeKeux Events – Vintage Hen Parties, Pin up Photo Shoots & Burlesque” stand

  7. I cannot wait to come here! We are planning our own steampunk wedding for July next year, I want to look at vintage hair and make up; pin up photo shoots and burlesque AND ‘prior engagement gowns.
We have booked our venue and got the family on board with the theme, already sorted one bridesmaid dress but now need the rest!
