Pastel Paper Flowers, Blue Ostrich Feathers and A Fancy Floral Crown…

I love to share inspirational and creative photoshoots with my readers that present a fresh and interesting aesthetic – something new to inspire our readers.   I'm also a rather huge fan of all things pastel coloured, and so this unusual but beautiful photoshoot really caught my eye when it landed in my inbox. I was also intrigued to find out about the creative team behind this shoot, that was brought together by two newcomers to the wedding industry, Papertwin (A digital media company) and Strange Case Collective (a 3D
design company).

But I was reliable informed not to be fooled by this newcomer status. Apparently, between them over the last couple of years, this creative duo have had their work shown on television and in movie theatres,
created large scale props for well known music festivals and have even
styled venues for HRH the Duchess of Cambridge. More recently, they have been bitten by the wedding bug and are bursting at the seams to flex their creative muscle within the industry.

I just adore the floral crown and flowers featured in this set of photographs, totally up my street…

Sophie and Laura of Strange Case Collective
are
by all accounts two very passionate and experienced designers. They
spend their days turning ideas and images that clients have of their
perfect event into reality – and, with a full team of creatives behind
them now, they are ready and raring to take on the world of weddings.  I
love the girls use of paper wreathes and
pretty ribbons in this shoot.

Sophie from Strange Case Collective told me…

"Our obsession with wedding blogs like Love My Dress,
and Pinterest was the driving force behind Strange Case's new venture
into wedding design. We would log in every day and be blown away by the
new level couples had taken their weddings too. We love that weddings
have really adopted design over the last few years, and thought it was
the perfect time for us to lend our expertise. Everything we provide is
completely handmade which is great for those looking for a unique and
fully personalised wedding design.

With this shoot, we really wanted to showcase the pool of talent there is in the wedding industry in the North West of England. We're constantly amazed by the astounding venues and suppliers there is in this corner of the country and wanted to do our best to illustrate that."

"Announcing their wedding arrival with a bang in 2013, wedding venue Alma De Cuba
provided the most incredible and spectacular setting for our shoot. A
former Polish catholic church in the 1900's, the venue is adorned with
candle light, huge wooden beams and a plethora of character that remains
unrivalled."

"The Flower Barn
provided all of the beautiful flower arrangements. There really isn't
anything Yvette doesn't know about flowers and it's her expertise and
passion for the craft that makes her so popular with brides who are
looking to bring their weddings into season.

"Stationary was also provided by Strange Case Collective -  Ian is
our in-house graphic designer and was perfect to show examples of modern
wedding invites, whilst Jenn Hill, an illustration student studying in
Leeds, created a beautiful hand drawn invitation and RSVP."

"Laura's Little Bakery
provided the amazing cakes and cupcakes for the shoot. Laura's that
type of person that when you meet her, you instantly want her to be your
friend. She just brightens up every room she enters and I think that
shows in her work. She has an incredible following and a loyal list of
cliental. Once you taste her cakes, you'll understand why."

Now, for the video production behind this shoot, which was of course created by Papertwin. Daniel from Papertwin told me…

"I can honestly say that I had never thought of doing Wedding
Videography. I'm a filmmaker at heart. So that love of creation and
storytelling, whether fact of fiction, has been there for as long as I
can remember. We would receive emails from brides and friends that were
getting married asking whether Papertwin
would make their wedding video. I was privileged by the offer, I really
was, but I didn't feel as though the time was right.

Then it happened. I
received an email from a bride, who simply said 'I've seen your work
for a while now and I would love for you to tell our story on our
wedding day'. After agreeing to meet the couple, within a few moments it
all fell into place. Weddings are the ultimate love story, and best of
all, they're real. It's about two people vowing to spend the rest of
their lives together. I phoned the guys, and we were all unanimous. With
our experience and with the team we have here, we know we can do
something special in the wedding industry and give couples a film that
will forever remind them just how special this day is.

Videography – Papertwin

So brides and grooms, those of you located in the North West UK might well want to drop Papertwin a line with regards your wedding videography and if you are looking for support with your wedding-day styling, be it support in researching a style and look for your wedding day, or simply on-the-day assistance, you would do well to drop the ladies at Strange Case Collective a line. Please also take a moment to visit the websites of all those other creatives involved in bringing these images to you today.

I'd like to pass on a very big thank you to the creative team behind this shoot – I'm thrilled that Love My Dress has inspired you and I very much look forward to seeing more from you all on these pages in the coming weeks and months.

I'm now off to dream about owning a floral crown just exactly like that one above.

Blah blah
