Megan Therese ~ Couture Wedding Veils and Headpieces

'I love working with brides to bring something to life that I know will
complement their personal style and can be cherished for years to come.'

Annabel and I have unearthed an exciting new accessories designer we think you're going to love. Megan Ferguson, the talented lady behind Megan Therese – Couture Bridal Accessories, creates beautiful handmade pieces from her home in the North of Ireland. Think luxury silk flower adornments made using old style millinery techniques and the finest of fabrics, hand beaded lace combs and romantic vintage inspired veils…

The business came about after Megan's own wedding last spring.

'I married the love of my life, Keith, in what I can only describe as my dream wedding.  I must admit finding my bridal attire was NOT an easy task! I struggled to find anything to suit my style but thankfully a trip to Southern Ireland introduced me to a wonderful couture bridal shop and my dream became a reality! But it made me think, I would love to be able to offer other brides an opportunity to bring their unique visions to life!'

'That’s when Megan Therese – Couture Bridal Accessories
was born. I soon realised I had lots of ideas and the business grew
very quickly. When I realised I had a natural talent, my mother kindly
gave me her sewing machine. I soon mastered the basics and I haven’t
looked back!'

'I absolutely love what I do and could quite
happily spend every waking hour crafting pieces. I love a challenge and I
constantly try to push the boundaries with intricate, technical pieces.
I love experimenting with new fabrics and materials, and with my head
full of new ideas I’m excited about what the future holds for my
business!'

The new collection from Megan Therese is heavily influenced by past eras.

'The collection is vintage inspired, yes, but more importantly it’s my interpretation of old designs. It offers brides a fresh new alternative to hair adornments and features luxurious handmade silk flower combs, hand beaded lace combs, lace cap veils and birdcage veil designs.'

Megan also offers a bespoke service, allowing her to create a unique, individual piece specifically to your requirements.
