A Beautiful New Partnership ~ Love My Dress & Condé Nast Brides Team Up For ‘Brides The Show’, October 2013

Happy weekend folks! If you follow Love My Dress on Twitter, you might well already be aware of our big news this week – Brides Magazine have appointed Love My Dress to be it's official blogging partner for their eagerly awaited new luxury bridal event, Brides The Show which will be taking place between 11 and 13 October at London's Battersea Park.

This is a big achievement for Franky and I. Brides Magazine is a Condé Nast publication (that's like the Vogue of the wedding world people!). Being asked by a Condé Nast magazine to partner with them, to represent their brand – it's really something quite special and we're very proud. It is also a clear indication that even the biggest most successful brands in print media when it comes to weddings, are acknowledging the role and influence of wedding blogs and showing a willingness to collaborate and work on projects together that will benefit you, the bride. And that my friends, is a great thing (not least to say very flattering indeed for us!).

But what is 'Brides The Show'? Where is it happening? Why are we getting involved, and what does it mean to you?

Well, Brides is brand new show coming to you from a team well versed in organising exciting, experiential events all across the globe; SME London are the organisers behind the event – that's the same folk behind some of the UK’s most exclusive big happenings (London Fashion Weekend, Art13 London and Feast, name but a few). So you could say they know a thing or two about how to create wonderful big scale events like this one, designed to inspire and exite visitors. Team them up under the creative control of Condé Nast 'Brides' – Britain’s leading quality bridal magazine – and you have a recipe for an unmissable event for brides-to-be who are looking for inspiration from the very best in the business.  The event will take place at Battersea Park in London between 11th and 13th October.

"Imagine if you could actually touch the dresses in Brides magazine, feel their luxurious quality and see the craftmanship and care that had gone into the hand-sewn detailing. What if you could sample that incredibly creative cake to ensure it tastes as good as it looks? Smell that blossomy bridal bouquet, and see for yourself how that glimmering statement necklace would look on you?"

That is precisely the kind of hands on, hugely fun and exciting pre-wedding experience that Brides The Show promises to deliver, by bringing together a carefully curated collection of bridal companies and wedding experts."

Franky and I are partnering with Brides, because as wedding bloggers, we are passionate about supporting and promoting the UK wedding industry. I personally believe we have an immense pool of talent in this country when it comes to wedding suppliers – brilliant, hard working, highly skilled, creative people – all of whom live and breath to make a couple's wedding one of the best days of their life.

We want to get behind this show because we believe there is an awesome team behind the planning and organisation of it and we want to be a part of the vehicle that is going to change the way big wedding events happen in this country; gone are the days of the bog-standard wedding fair my friend – prepare for a show that is organised by brilliant minds, featuring exceptional designers and offering you something all together more fun, innovative, stylish and wonderful.

So, between now and October, Franky and I will be running a series of posts highlighting who will be exhibiting, what you can expect at the show and how you'll be spoiled whilst there. We'll be profiling some of the designers, introducing you to some of the inspirational and immersive areas that the event will be hosting and running some seriously luxurious giveaway exclusively for Love My Dress readers. I'm actually stupidly excited about the fabulous treat we have in store for one very lucky Love My Dress reader as part of a competition we're working on with Brides Magazine!

But hey, it's Saturday and we're all wanting to enjoy our weekends, and I don't want to give too much away today. Let me finish by saying this is going to be a brilliant event and I'm super, super excited at having the opportunity of spending time with some of the UK wedding industries finest and most creative minds.
