Nisha Ravji ~ Fresh, Romantic Wedding Photography

Hello lovely readers! How are you on this fine day?

You should all know by now that I love sharing our favourite photographers with you. The thought that one or two of you might see an image and know in that instant that you've found 'the one' gives me such a kick. So without further ado, today it is my great pleasure to introduce Nisha Ravji, a 25 year old kiwi with a deep love of photography, great food, and travel.

'I'm from New Zealand and have had the privilege of capturing beautiful weddings and portraits there for the past five years. Now I've made the move to the UK in search of a new adventure and more gorgeous weddings!'

'I'm now based in London (and having a blast) but keen to see more of this beautiful country so willing to travel far and wide. If you're getting married, and you love my work, we can make it happen!'

Nisha told me more about how she became a photographer…

'I was given a camera at a young age, but painting and portraiture were always my main interest. I studied design at University and dabbled with photography throughout, to the point where a good friend asked me to shoot her wedding. I realised I had found my calling and haven't looked back since!'

'I'm someone who loves to meet new people – and I love photography and pushing the limits of what I can do with this medium. A wedding is the ideal place for me in a lot of ways. I enjoy all the moments in between just as much as the big stuff. The little smiles and teases between you and your partner, the tears, the laughter, the occasional bored child letting out a yawn. I have the greatest job in the world and every wedding I pinch myself that people give me the huge privilege of sharing the biggest day of their lives.'

Nisha describes her signature style as fresh, romantic and editorial.

'I mix photo-journalistic coverage with relaxed posing throughout the day. I love to document everything as it happens and always aim to become part of the background to capture those moments authentically. When it comes to the formal portraits, I'm all about making sure you're relaxed and feeling like the most gorgeous person on earth so it really shines through in the images.'
