Lunch Time Wedding Film ~ Jolvin and Jolyn And Their Beautiful Australian, Rustic Farm Wedding

Have you dipped into our vast archive of wedding films recently? There are some incredibly beautiful, moving, funny, touching, downright wonderful movies in there – I implore you to go and lose yourself in the film gallery for a little while, if you haven’t done so yet.

The latest addition to our film gallery comes to you today from Australian film maker, Danae, of Me & My Camera, who will be based in the UK from 2014.  Danae was asked to film Jolvin and Jolyn’s wedding that took place with a rustic farm backdrop in the Dandenong Ranges, near Melbourne on the 7th of September this year.

I adore everything about this film, from the soundtrack, to the pretty colours and rustic style decor, the smiles, love and laughter – there is so much to be inspired by, so sit back, relax and enjoy whilst Danae tell us a little more about this beautiful day…

“Happy to leave the hum of the city behind, I journeyed out toward the peaceful surroundings of Gum Gully Farm. Surrounded by gum trees, where lambs, goats and deer grazed contently, it is the perfect venue for a fun relaxed wedding.

The
morning started with a series of challenges, dreamed up by Jolyn’s
bridesmaids, for Jolvin to go through in order to show his worthiness! Luckily he made it through with flying colours. Families then arrived
for a tea ceremony, a lovely way to formally introduce everyone. There
was a hint of excitement in the air as they headed to the wooden chapel
for a sweet and touching ceremony full of tears and laughter…”

“At dusk, we went to a nearby hill to enjoy the quiet beauty of the place and have a moment to soak the day in.

The reception was in a lovely rustic barn and the wood fires were lit creating an intimate and cosy atmosphere. The couple have a unique and effortless style and finished the room with many sweet little details. As a gift to take home they grew plants in little potted mugs and wrote a personal message for everyone. There was also a sweets buffet which was piled high with an assortment of intricate cakes and slices each prettier than the next.

During the speeches we learned more about the couple, how they met at church and bonded over their love of food, travel and art. Heard about their adventures and their hopes for what the future will bring them. It was truly a blessed day full of love, fun and a touch of magic.”
