Happy lunch time folks! Were you aware that last Wednesday, The 2014 Wedding Industry Awards ceremony took place in London?  Hosted by Sky News presenter Sarah Hewson and held at The Bloomsbury Ballroom in London, the awards recognise the best in service, creativity, innovation, professionalism and passion – as voted for by real couples – that's real brides and grooms who have experienced these services for themselves.

From gowns, flowers, hair and make-up to venues, transport, entertainment and photography, every winner was cheered by the 450 strong audience and everyone on the shortlist for each of the 24 categories had much to celebrate.

We'd like to congratulate all the winners of The 2014 Wedding Industry Awards, though we are extra delighted that our blog partner Erin Hung of BerinMade picked up the award for best stationer – go Erin!!

The Wedding INdustry Awards

1,250 companies entered the 2014 awards. 23,000 votes were cast by newlyweds which decided the Regional Shortlist. These select few then went through another round of critical judging by an expert panel who decided the Regional Winners, before a final process of judging to decide the National Winners.

Damian Bailey, founder of The Wedding Industry Awards, was thrilled with the evening and with the response to the awards themselves;

“This was our third awards and the standard of entrants was higher than ever.  It’s becoming harder and harder to pick winners from such amazing shortlists where everyone demonstrates such skill. It was great to celebrate everyone’s achievements and then party all night!"

If you are a wedding industry supplier interested in entering the 2015 awards, you can find out further details here.  The Awards are the only client-voted regional and national awards in the wedding industry in this country, and the judging panel is second to none in its breadth and depth of expertise and experience. This means that the results have real meaning and are useful to both the entrants and anyone organising a wedding who is looking for great wedding suppliers both regionally and nationwide.  Nominations for the 2015 awards open up in May.
