Hello lovely, as it's Friday afternoon we have a lovely wedding to keep you sufficiently distracted from work until home time. It's our pleasure!
Primary School teacher Julia, tied the knot with her beau Nick, a Video Editor and cameraman on 2nd November last year at Howden Minster and Shire Hall in East Yorkshire.
"Nick and I always knew that we wanted our wedding to be personal and fun. I also knew that I wanted to incorporate vintage touches and books in an understated and elegant way."

"Nick and I met through our mutual friend, Liam. We met in St James’ Park in London where some friends were having a picnic and watching the London Marathon together.
In November 2012 Nick whisked me away for a surprise birthday treat to Paris. It was here, in my favourite city, that he proposed with a brilliant 1920’s sapphire and diamond ring. We didn’t want a long engagement and were married a year later."
"My dress was Tia by Benjamin Roberts and the lace jacket was by Ellis Bridals. I purchased my dress from Brenda Lorraine Bridal Wear in Elm Park, Essex. The staff there were always so helpful and professional. I knew I was in good hands!
I have loved lace wedding gowns ever since I was a little girl and dreamt of being Grace Kelly. As soon as I put on my dress, I knew it was the one. I felt classic, romantic and beautiful. The veil was also bought at Brenda Lorraine, but I don’t remember what brand it was."
"Our florist was Emma Victoria from Beau Ideal Weddings. Emma’s flowers speak for themselves. I didn’t have a colour scheme exactly, I just knew that I wanted pale muted tones and a free form bouquet. After meeting with Emma and seeing examples of her work, I knew she was the florist for me. Her work is exquisite. I teared up the minute I saw my beautiful bouquet. Simply stunning"
"I have never been a fan of the matching bridesmaid look. I wanted my girls to feel comfortable and happy so I let them choose their own dresses. My Maid of Honour’s dress was by Ted Baker, and the other two were from Coast and Miss Selfridge."
Nick wore a suit from TM Lewin and shoes from Ted Baker – the groomsmen wore their own grey suits with a sage tie.
I love the buttonhole detail by florist Beau Ideal Weddings.
"I had a clear vision of my perfect wedding decor and spent many an early morning at boot sales buying old books and vintage accessories. Florist and stylist Emma from Beau Ideal Weddings helped make our vision a reality. She decorated the reception tables with flowers, various vintage accessories, tea cups and saucers and the most amazing lace table cloths."
"The extremely talented Claire Morris was our photographer. Hiring Claire was definitely one of the best decisions Nick and I made for our wedding. Her photographs are stunning and she truly captured the day beautifully. Claire was also so friendly and professional on the day.
Nick and I will treasure our photos forever."
"We hired a beautiful silver Daimler from Lavelle Classics. It really added to the feel of the day."
"My favourite part of the day was, without question, walking down the aisle. The magnificent organ was playing 'Somewhere Over the Rainbow', all my loved ones were smiling at me and I could see Nick at the end of the aisle. It was just magical and something I will never forget.
There is nothing that I would have done differently. It was a fantastic day."
"My dad walked me down the aisle to the sound of 'Somewhere Over Rainbow' played on the Howden Minster organ. During our wedding ceremony my brother read 1 Corinthians 13.
I know it is a very popular ‘wedding’ reading but I just love the theme and message of it. All You Need Is Love."
"My cake and dessert table were provided by Claire at Just Darling Cakes. Our dessert buffet table included a vanilla sponge cake with cream and strawberries, red velvet cupcakes, macaroons, cookies and cake pops. We knew Claire was the supplier for us as soon as we met her. She understood my vision and her cakes taste delicious! I knew that I didn’t want a traditional wedding cake.
I love desserts and wanted to make it more of a feature. The table became part of the decor and everyone loved it."
Words of Wedded Wisdom…
"I would tell every bride to be to do things her way. Your wedding day is about you and your fiance. Don’t worry about anyone else or what they think. Do lots of research to find out what you like and don’t like and make your wedding personal!
Spend money on the things that matter the most to you and save money where you can by doing things yourself. Lastly, savour every moment of your big day because it goes by so quickly!
What a lovely, elegant day, and those flowers!
Huge thanks to photographer Claire Morris for sharing your work and happy 'nearly 5 months' wedding anniversary to Julia and Nick – your day looked wonderful guys and we are delighted that we've been able to share and inspire our readers.

Love Annabel.
