Sandon Hall Wedding Event, Staffordshire ~ Saturday 31st May 2014

Good morning everyone! I hope this finds you ready for a little bank holiday weekend enjoyment.

I'm keen to tell you about a rather fabulous event taking place on Saturday 31st May, 2014 (a week today!) at Sandon Hall in Staffordshire, when this historic venue will opens its doors for the exclusive launch of its new interior.

Sandon Hall is the ancestral home of the Earls of Harrowby, and sits astride high ground overlooking the Trent valley amidst 400 acres of rolling parkland. Completed in 1854, the imposing Hall which is offered an on exclusive basis to all wedding clientele, boasts 50-acre formal gardens, providing a grand yet tranquil setting for any size and style of wedding, at any time of the year.

I was really excited to hear about this event, and especially so because it involves a glittering array of wedding industry stars.  I grew up very near to Sandon Hall and so I know all about this stunning local treasue.  When I was a little girl my best friend lived just outside the entrance to the beautiful and extensive estate and I used to dream about marrying there one day.  It's funny how things turn out!

This special launch event taking place on Saturday 31st May will be a celebration of the beautiful new interiors at the venue, and a rare opportunity for guests to wander the Hall and gardens, as well as view a small, but purposefully hand-picked selection of high-calibre wedding suppliers – each of them designers and suppliers of British heritage who complement the history of Sandon Hall.

Guests will be invited to enter through the conservatory from 11am onwards to experience its serene atmosphere with roses blooming, music playing and drinks and canapés served. Inside the hall exhibitors will lead the way with their creations, displaying in the library, the grand saloon, dining room and drawing room, with its original hand painted Chinese wallpaper.

The historic gardens are home to many rare and unusual species, along with the 400-acre park beyond, and are one of the finest examples of their kind still in existence. They will offer a unique backdrop for the Indian Tent Company to showcase their newly launched handcrafted tents and vibrant parasols.
