I simply had to share these images with you – these are the brand new designs from the couturier Terry Fox. For those of you not in the know, Terry Fox is an established British couture designer who has been creating theatrical, fairytale inspired bridal gowns for years. She began her career as an apprentice for Zhandra Rhodes and the Emmanuels an experience from which she was able to develop her own unique bridal style.

I love the femininity to this new collection by Terry which was inspired by her adoration of fairytales and all things mythical…
“My latest collection is called ‘Siren Song’, and has been inspired by the Sirens of the sea. I love a good fairy tale and get very excited by the thought of creatures weaving their mystical magic – beautiful women (mermaids) calling men into the depths of the sea and keeping them for eternity. What better inspiration for a wedding dress?!”
In fact the whole styling of this shoot is so beautiful – floral design is by luxury florist and event designer Paula Rooney, headpieces by Donna Crain, hair and make-up styling by Malin Coleman, shoes supplied by newcomer designer Charlotte Mills and overall styling by my fellow blogger Alexandra Merri of Bijou Bride – all beautifully captured on camera by the very lovely Carey Sheffield who I had the good fortune of meeting quite recently.
I love how Terry describes the kind of bride she strives to design for, ‘My brides are romantic ladies with a clear vision of how they want to look on their special day. They are looking for something different and individual, and appreciate the care, quality and attention to detail that goes into every process their gown involves; be it the design, fabric choice, craftmanship or embellishment.”
Terry’s studio is located in the pretty town of Bury St. Edmunds, though her gowns are stocked widely throughout the UK. All of Terry’s gowns are handmade in the UK and all production is overseen by Terry herself.
“My boutique provides a girly heaven for those brides wanting to indulge themselves in the lead up to their special wedding day. The sparkle of vintage jars overflowing with antique beads and pearls, Parisian armoires filled with beautiful fabrics, and crystal cake stands full of painted silk flowers, ribbons and trimmings – these all speak of sophistication, glamour, drama and style.
All designs are hand made here in the U.K., so you are guaranteed quality workmanship and a perfect fit by a team that really care about you and your special day. We also offer a bespoke service to customize and coordinate all the wedding party to add a touch of individuality, with great finishing touches.”
Terry’s beautiful new Siren collection ranges from gorgeously glamorous to simply elegant, or quirky, fun and vintage. I particularly love the gold hues throughout and those divine lace sleeves…
I’d really love to know if any of these designs appeal to you?
