Brides The Show: A Preview

I don’t know about you but the darker evenings and cooler mornings of the last few days have already got me thinking about autumn. Autumn is my favourite season for so many reasons but this year, it’s made even better by the fact that Brides The Show is back with a bang.

For three fabulous days, the iconic Brides magazine comes to life at the Business Design Centre in Islington. Oh yes, you might want to clear your diary for 3-5 October, gather together your closest friends and book your tickets now because the third installment of Brides The Show promises to be even better than ever before and we so can’t wait.

Brides The Show is an absolute dream of a day out. The exhibitor list reads like a who’s who of the bridal world with Love My Dress favourites such as Halfpenny London, Prezola and Andrea Hawkes alongside established names such as Blenheim Palace, Bijou and Jamie Aston as well as some amazing breakthrough brands and new companies who’ll be showcasing their products for the very first time – like Annabel’s personal favourite, Vicky Rowe. Personally, I know I’ll be heading for Naomi Neoh, Lila and the Meringue Girls the moment the doors open.

With all of these spectacular suppliers in once place, you’re going to be spoiled for choice and overflowing with inspiration and it’s certainly worth taking your time to visit every exhibitor. But, this is Brides The Show after all so all that walking needs to be rewarded and oh my goodness, what lovely rewards there are for you!

Firstly, a stop at The Champagne Bar is a must for a quick pick-you-up while you plan your next move. There’s also The Tea Garden for a spot of non-alcoholic refreshment as well as snacks and scones. Oh heaven! And if that’s not enough to satisfy your inner gourmet then definitely stop by The Sommelier’s Table where you can learn, taste and get all the inside information on the latest foodie trends.

You’ll also need to set aside lots of time for the other must-do show events as well. The On The Sofa sessions are inspired and inspiring – pick up tips and pose your questions to exhibitors and also the Brides team. These are a really friendly, informal addition to the show so certainly cast an eye down the list of speakers and go along for a chat. I also adore The Imagination Room is basically somewhere you’ll need to tear yourself away from because throughout the day, there are lots of workshops and tutorials where you can get your craft on, learn some new skills or just soak up all the knowledge of the industry experts leading each session. I’ll see you there!

Looking great and feeling fabulous is no doubt high on your wedding day agenda and, just as you would expect, Brides The Show totally has this covered. And then some. On hand is a team of professional make-up artists and, if you book your 40-minute appointment in advance, you can enjoy forty minutes of bridal beauty heaven. Learn how to create a look that’s true to you, long-lasting and completely wedding day ready.

The catwalk settings at previous shows have been exquisite and the shows are spectacular. With Bryony promising that the catwalk this autumn will see full-on femininity with silk, tulle, chiffon and lace as well as ruffles, ribbons, roses and flirty frothy skirts, I think we’re all going to be in wedding wonderland.

Brides The Show runs 3-5 October at the Business Design Centre in Islington and tickets are available now online.

You can find a full exhibitor list, details of all the features of the show and more information about attending on the Brides The Show website. Also, don’t miss out on The Planner, the show’s regular newsletter featuring exclusive competitions and offers.
