A Little (BIG!) Favour…

Hello lovely Sunday readers, I have a little favour to ask.  It’s ‘Awards Season’ over here in wedding land and as well as the usual crowd of photographers, florists, cake makers, dress designers and a myriad of other amazingly talented suppliers, us bloggers have a special opportunity to win something too, courtesy of Perfect Wedding Magazine and Wedding Magazine – two of the UK’s leading wedding magazines.

Love My Dress® has been lucky enough to pick up several former awards, and I can’t tell you good this is for us.  It boosts our confidence no end, it reminds us that what we’re doing is worth it but more than anything and most importantly, for me, it is proof that this blog is making a positive contribution to the experience of so many planning their wedding day.  So today, I would like to ask, beg, however you would like to refer to it, for your much needed vote for this years round of awards.

I’ll keep it simple, because time is running out.

Firstly, because this one is a little time sensitive (you only have until 1st September to vote) are the wonderful Wedding Magazine Blog Awards.  Love My Dress is the only blog up for an award in three separate categories (which knocked our socks off a little bit!); Best Bridal Style & Fashion Blog, Best Real-Life Weddings Blog and Best Designed Blog.  Simply click next to lovemydress.net in these relevant voting boxes and ta-da!

The best bit about these awards is, you get to cast a vote ever single day – so if you really love and appreciate us, you can log back in tomorrow, and the day after and every day up until 1st September to vote for us again 🙂

Secondly, the Perfect Wedding Magazine awards – simply click here and scroll down to ‘Best Wedding Blog’ to cast your vote for lovemydress.net:

I wouldn’t usually do this whole ‘please please vote for us!’ thing – it’s not my style, anyone who knows me will know that, but these awards are actually really important to us.  They provide a wonderful platform for a community of bloggers to shine, and they showcase what’s become a legitimate career path here in the UK – a career path that I know from personal experience is incredibly fulfilling and rewarding.

I tend to refer to ‘we’, more than ‘I’ these days when talking Love My Dress, and that’s because in the near-five years since I clicked ‘publish’ on my first blog post, Love My Dress has become so much more than a single person sharing their vision of wedding-day loveliness – something to do in their spare time.  We’re a team now, a team of individuals absolutely passionate about this blog and what it stands for and I would love for my amazing team to feel a sense of pride that what they do is good enough to win an award.

If you’re still unsure why you should vote for us, I’m copying the introduction from our About Page below as I think it captures everything about who we are and what we do just perfectly:-

We aim to produce content that connects brides (and grooms) with the very best suppliers in the industry and that offers gentle reminders of the true value of weddings and marriage.  We know how easy it is to get caught up in the crazy carnival of wedding planning, so encourage our readers on to a path that will lead to the kind of wedding they truly, personally desire. Our blog enables readers to submerge themselves in an inspiring, supportive and encouraging environment – our team of writers and contributors is completely passionate about and dedicated to this blog and everything you see featured is prepared with love, sincerity and a genuine desire to inspire.

Have a lovely Sunday everyone and thank you so very, very much for supporting us by voting for us – your kindness is appreciated no end.

Love Annabel xXx
