With autumn firmly sneaking into the pages of our calendars, I can’t help but cast my eye to all things cosy and comforting. This season I am thinking of earthy mustard tones coupled with striking navy, with plenty dose of mixed metals and textures. What better than to feel chunky knit on your skin against the autumn chill, the smooth, sturdy leather of a Mulberry tote on your arm, and the cool hammered texture of copper on your fingertips?
These Animal Felt Rugs (1) are for my daughter Phoebe – a rug and a little toy all rolled into one, what’s not to like? Plus, in the summer months when it’s too hot for rugs, it can go on the wall as a playful hanging!
A Mulberry Tote (2). Need I say more? I adore copper right now and this light copper shade from Cox & Cox (3) would look beautiful in my home. This McQueen Jumper (4) will keep me warm as I venture out for walks with Phoebe, and this cute little Hedgehog Cushion (5) is a must. We recently met designers Robin and Mould and instantly fell in love with her screen printed pillows! I bought a mustard bear cushion for our collection and am already eyeing up another one for Phoebe’s playroom. So cute,
Everyone needs a set of stylish undies right? This Stella McCartney Bra (6) will do for me. And I adore this Yseult printed Swiss-dot silk-georgette blouse by Paul and Joe (7). If I had this blouse, it would easily become a favourite staple in my wardrobe to wear with jeans on a workday and a pencil skirt for more formal meetings.
Other items I’m coveting are all about copper, like this White Copper Alarm Clock (8) and Copper Bowl (10). I have been eyeing all things copper for the home for a few months now. This bowl easily adds seasonal style to the dining table without breaking the back. Plus, it will hold fresh flower buds for autumn and pinecones straight into the winter.
Team all this with an Etro Scarf (11) and a pair of Aurelie Bidermann bangles (9), specifically this Soho gold-plated one and this cotton bangle too, and I’m all set for Autumn. I’m in LOVE with these bangles—delicate but not too feminine I would wear them layered on my arm and especially love the mixed metals.
