It was just over a year ago now that I fell in love with Jesus Peiro. On a heavenly late summer day in the stunning Dunsborough Park, Miss Bush Bridalwear’s ‘Boudicca’ shoot showcased the gowns of this Spanish design house and set my heart aflutter. So today, I am so excited to be able to introduce you to ‘Perfume’, the 2015 from the exceptional Jesus Peiro.

The ‘Perfume’ collection, which debuted earlier this year at Barcelona Bridal Week and is named after the brand’s new exclusive scent, has absolutely ensured that my passion for this brilliant label continues unabated. With the signature clean lines of Jesus Peiro still very much in evidence, this delightful new range of sophisticated wedding gowns has taken cues from all of my favourite fashion trends so there are soft, smooth and utterly romantic silhouettes aplenty.

I’ve learned how to express myself through my work and with every piece; we aim to offer an element of surprise that incorporates delicate beauty with fashion and design.”
And oh my, how these new designs do indeed surprise and delight. I absolutely adore the perfect pleating in the gowns with those dreamy full ball gown skirts that increases the impact of the skirt, giving it a totally luxe look. The updated take on the dramatic mermaid cut designs give a lighter more contemporary take on this high volume, high drama look whilst the super delicate empire-waisted gowns are softer and lighter and gowns with beautiful symmetrical pleats provide the most feminine outlines.
This collection is just so perfectly balanced thanks to the delightful selection of styles that make up ‘Perfume’. There are subtle and demure gowns and gowns with touches of drama with plunging necklines and statement bows where bodices meet skirts. I so love the draped bodices, the layered bodices and the high-necked bodices with an attention-grabbing slash showing just a hint of décolleté just call to me. And, did I mention the designs that feature pocketed skirts or deco influences?
No? I do apologise but goodness me, there is just so much to love, particularly as the fashion led looks still sit alongside immaculate hand finishing of the highest standard. Every design is beyond perfect – they are all refined, elegant and absolutely wonderful to wear. My love affair with Jesus Peiro continues…
