Based in the glorious Surrey Hills, Charlie travels far and wide to shoot weddings in his signature candid style. Full-frame, super high-resolution images that record what Charlie believes to be the most important part of every wedding – people.
“People are my inspiration,” says Charlie. ‘Everyone is so different and because of this, there are limitless opportunities to capture them in a unique way. As long as there are people around, I’ll never lose interest in photography.”

“I’m always advising the couples I work with to try not to get too hung up on making every last thing perfect to the point that they lose sight of what the day is about,” Charlie continues. “I’m a big fan of quirky and interesting details too but I don’t think they should come at the expense of the couple actually enjoying their day. I want to capture the intimacy and emotions of the day – that’s what wedding photography is to me.”
There’s no denying the fact that Charlie’s background in sculpture and his love of photography influences his wedding work. He produces the most beautiful images that can stand alone as stunning, emotive photographs. The moods and personalities have been captured and the images range through joy and happiness to pensive apprehension. Charlie’s commitment to capturing every moment of the wedding is also borne out by the fact that he always works with a second shooter so you will always have two photographers there on your wedding day to document all of those important, never-to-be-repeated moments.
“I’ve heard many photographers saying they don’t need a second shooter,” says Charlie. ‘But, I think that’s the wrong way to look at things. I don’t ‘need’ a second shooter but I think it provides a better product for the couples. After all, comprehensive coverage and piece of mind are usually pretty high on the priorities list!”
